We really enjoyed our stay here. Across the road from Patrick’s Point (now Sue-Meg) state park. We enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful environment. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be back????????

Otherwise you will just spend the whole time envious of those who are in one as they truly are special with decks overlooking a large lily pond equipped with Adirondack chairs, table and fire pit. We stayed in site 8, which has a small peak of the pond if you get on your tippy toes, but we will avoid in the future as it is across from the laundry/utility building and a street light, all of which are on all night and shine directly in the trailer. The middle sites sit higher, are pull throughs and quite large. I would avoid the sites along the back side as they back up to highway 101 and could be noisy. Also, there are several full time trailers here and most are situated there. There is a coin-op laundry that is extremely clean with two washers and two dryers, although they are older and quite rusty but get the job done. Two designated areas for dogs on each end of the campground. One for dog business only and the other near the entrance with a small but pretty fenced in yard. The grounds are gorgeous and lush with plant life and quiet places are provided for sitting across from the pond. If large groups and playing The Eagles for all the campground to hear is your thing, this is not the place for you. The quiet times from 9-9 are strictly enforced and barking dogs and rowdy people will be asked to leave, which is fine by us. The staff are very efficient and kind. The location can not be beat for a visit to this area and we will definitely return and will book well in advance to secure a pond site.

There was some noise from the 101 highway, but not enough to bother us.This is not really a camp area for children, although there is a swing set. The sites and drive are gravel & most residents appear to be quiet, long term people.Overall, we would stay again, mainly for the setting and the nearby redwoods.

If we’re ever in the area again I would definitely choose to stay here again

Our initial contact on the phone was friendly, however, the lady who checked us in was rather cold, confused and not so friendly. She got our paperwork confused with someone else even though we told her our name and that we had no pets. She took payment for people with pets and then had to give us a few dollars back. We had the impression that she would like to be anywhere else but there. We had originally arranged to stay in a space by the pond which was lovely, however, we would only be able to fit if we unhitched. Because the weather was lousy and rainy, we would not be enjoying this site and asked to be moved to a site so we would not have to unhitch. She moved us to a pull through which was very narrow and next to a barking dog. This RV park is off Highway 101 but a another main road runs right behind it with a pretty good amount of noise. The majority of the park is made up of full timers/ permanent residents. Big rigs would have serious issues, most likely not permitted. The entry is over a very narrow bridge that leads to the office. It did provide us with a safe place to stay for one night, but due to the high cost, we will not be staying again. We enjoy less expensive and beautiful sites at state and national parks (also with full hook ups).

Although we didn't use some of the amenities, they do have showers, laundry, a playground and an art studio. It's right off the freeway and easy entry for big rigs. You can hear faint sound of traffic from the road nearby but it wasn't bad. Wifi and cell phone signal was strong.

When I called they went out and double checked the site. It was plenty wide, had a large paver deck (12x20’) and a couple of Adirondack chairs. The setting is like a beautiful park with 5 sites overlooking a large pond. The hrdrandea here are thriving, blooming and huge. An art/reflexology studio graces the property. The emphasis is on quiet..from 9-9. If you’ve got an excessive barker, “it will be asked to leave.” Laundry and restroom/shower were spotless. There’s a trail to Patrick’s Point literally across the street. No dogs on PP trails. Don’t miss wedding rock, agate beach, and the Sumeg (Yurok) village at the park. Moonstone Beach about 7 miles south had easy access and is dog friendly.

It was getting late in the day, and we were exhausted from a long drive. We asked management if we could have a tow truck come into the campground to replace our tire, and they allowed it. We were pleasantly surprised by this, as a lot of campgrounds do not allow repairs to happen on site. The campground appeared to have long-term camping, with those RV's taking the outer edge of the loop. There were also spots right along the pond with decks. We stayed in the inside of the loop, right next to the bathroom and laundry facilities. The shrubbery between sites created so much privacy that we were totally unaware of campers using the nearby bathrooms. The scenery was gorgeous. Towering trees, a large pond, a green house and a small trail provided a lot of eye candy and a very peaceful environment. The small dog park was also a great surprise, and something that we utilized often. We also enjoyed the swing-set with Adirondack chairs nearby so that we could watch our children play. While staying at this campground, we ventured to Fern Canyon. It was about 45 minutes away and worth the drive! We recommend this campground as well as a day trip to the canyon.

It is one of those special parks that those in the know will whisper about, and share with their fellow RV-ers in the strictest confidence. Azalea Glen is a small park, lovingly maintained and run by a small crew of onsite staff. Grass sites, perfectly maintained, with impeccable facilities and services. The primo sites are tucked up against the pond, complete with private decks, Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and fire pit grills — all waiting for you to just back in, and relax. The entire region is packed with beautiful beaches, state, and national parks. You will simply not have time to see it all, so just pick what you like, and go slow. However, don't miss the adjacent Patrick's Point state park (within easy walking distance), and its Agate Beach. Azalea is a very quiet park — so definitely not the place to plan a boisterous family reunion. It's more of a kick back, grill a salmon on the deck, watch the swallows fly around, or the river otters play, or the trees sway kind of park. We loved it!The wifi is superb (that doesn't happen often), and LTE/4G range is an easy 2-3 bars all the time.

This awesome park is definitely not that. But its emphasis on a quiet, serene atmosphere (no outdoor TV's allowed!) held huge appeal to me. Arrived after a good rain storm to find the very large grass pad firm enough to drive on but too soft to comfortably allow me to extend the leveling jacks, even with the aid of the plastic 12"x12" pads & 'legos' I carry. I cautiously elected to give it a day to dry out then try again. A passing comment to one of the wonderful women that work the office resulted in her equally great husband providing some serious pieces of wood that made quick work of supporting the weight of our 37' Class A. Satellite TV worked at our pull thru site unless the wind was really blowing. (The park abuts to part of Patrick's Point SP & has very tall trees on its parameter.). Excellent cable is provided. The park, our site included, is beautifully landscaped. A very tall hedge provided a privacy on the sides. There really aren't that many sites available. At least during our November stay, drop-ins were not encouraged. Be sure to call ahead. Our departure was delayed by a day due to another rainstorm. My inexperience with grass sites had me worried that we might get stuck trying to leave. We did get a lot of rain, but in hindsight, I was probably just being overly cautious. Enter the park from the north & carefully follow the park's signs at the entrance. The first entrance area is not designed for bigger rigs. This is a very nicely landscaped that emphasizes a very quiet setting. And great wifi. Pay for 7, stay for 8. We could not have been happier.
