Close to everything in Sheridan, it still offers a Bighorn Mountains view and a scenic pasture next door. Owners Pete and Barb are knowledgeable and helpful with tips about good restaurants, scenic attractions and fun things to do. Their laundry, restroom and shower facilities are clean and well-maintained. Barb shares fresh vegetables out of the park garden she cultivates - and she also offers a well-stocked lending library.Hard-working, helpful and kind folks!Tip: don’t put all your faith in GPS. We really enjoy the town of Sheridan and the scenic drives into the Bighorns from there. Drives on 14 and 14A are both exceptional. Other places we have enjoyed are visits to the historic Sheridan Inn, the Bradford Brinton Museum of Western Art, The King Saddlery Western Ropes Museum, Trail End State Historic Site, Fort Fetterman, Fort Phil Kearny, and the Wagon Box Fight. The park has all level, FHU, pull through sites that are 60 feet long, so we can park our 38 foot 5th wheel and our large Dodge 3500 behind it with no issues. People staying only one night can easily stay hooked up too. The interior roads and the sites are all gravel. Sites have picnic tables and grass between sites. The park has a large area for pets to play in. The WiFi works and the campground also provides free cable, so we didn’t even try to set up our portable Dish. Both ATT and Verizon cell signals are fine. The restrooms and laundry are both very clean. The campground is privately owned and the owners live on the premises. Barb has a large garden and leaves fresh vegetable at the check in desk for guests to take for free! The campground offered a cash price discount this year and also offers Good Sam discounts. We like coming here and will return.

I called and played a little phone tag a few days before we were due in the area, the woman on the phone was very helpful and took my information town and said, "we'll see ya when you get here." It's an easy off and on from hwy 90. All the sites are pull-through with full hook-up. Long sites, a little close to the neighbors, but doable, easy to navigate, clean restrooms and laundry room. And a beautiful garden where your host Peter D and his wife will offer veggies from the garden. Sometimes it's all about the people.

We had a email from Peter confirming our stay. We called to confirm and Barbara advised they had no such reservation. Does not look like a professional run organization! Mark this one off the list!

Peter is very friendly and the campground is very clean. Every site is a pull-through with full-hookups. However, the sites are very close together, so much so that we didn’t connect our sewer line (except to dump before we left) because it was literally right under our neighbors picnic table. Our slides were definitely in our neighbor’s site. Also, there is no playground or really anywhere for kids to play. There is a small grassy area by the bathhouse where we were playing after our 8 hour day of driving. It was 7pm and our 3 kids (6,5,2) were blowing off steam. Peter came over and asked us to be quiet. We were disappointed as it didn’t seem unreasonable for kids to be playing at 7pm- it would have been different if it were 10pm. If we didn’t have kids and just needed a place for the night, this place would have been perfect.

Sites are fine unless someone parks dumb and puts out more stuff than they can possibly use - that can make it a bit tight. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the showers. They have a common area for undressing / dressing in the middle of three showers with a shower curtain separating the stalls from the showers. Was not comfortable and only used once. Also has onsite laundry. They have a garden in the middle of the park with fresh veggies that you can get at the office.

We are staying one night as we pass through. Easy off the interstate. You can not hear the interstate traffic much at all even though it is close. We stayed during a busy holiday week. We will stay again.

This is your basic RV park. All of the sites are pull-thru, which is nice, but it has the feel of a parking lot – like most RV parks do. The owner, Peter D, was very friendly. He was also very, very insistent that you only drive 5 mph through the park. He’ll come running after you if you don’t. Fair warning.
