Jen is super sweet and available to help you find your way around the area. They also took care to make sure everyone's rig was properly prepared for winter and freezing weather. There is a spacious dog park conveniently located in the middle of the park, with plenty of potty bags. All spots have fresh gravel, so it keeps the dirt out of your rig but aesthetically feels better than pavement or asphalt. It feels like your away from it all even though Target is 3min away, along with all the modern conveniences of Montrose. Lastly the location is beautiful with a river running by it (you can fish in) as well as an awesome trail (get your daily walk/run in)! Great place for a long or short stay! We will definitely go back!

Office and laundry areas were modern and spotless. Didn't try the bathrooms. You're on the river with the view just slightly tempered by the back of a Target. Wifi was so-so like most parks, so get a hotspot if needing to work from the RV. It's a 5 star spot, but on this trip I didn't have my kids with me and personally would rather pay less and forego some of the niceties.

Wide, well maintained crushed stone interior roads easy to navigate with a big rig. Immaculately maintained park nicely landscaped with grass and flowers. Shaded or open sites available. We had a riverfront site which was a generous size with crushed stone surface, picnic table and fire pit. Utilities worked well. Very good free WiFi. Good T-mobile signal. Large grassy shaded dog park. There are benches along the river for anyone to sit and enjoy. There is also access to a town river walk from the roadway at the front of the park. Close to downtown Montrose with great restaurants and shopping. About a half hour to Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP South Entrance. We will definitely return for another visit, and next time we’ll stay longer.

We were met at the entrance by a friendly gentleman that guided us to our site and gave us some great information about the park and surrounding area. This park is gated and well maintained with a beautiful lake just outside the gate. The only drawback to our site (2) was the gate...it is rather loud when it opens and closes and site 2 is right beside it. This means you hear EVERY vehicle that comes and goes all day and night! Regardless, it was a great place to stop for a few days and we would definitely stay here again!

We had a few packages delivered during our stay and the staff reached out each time by phone or stopping by our site to deliver the packages in person. The river views are so beautiful, especially in the fall. We even got to see some deer and owls on property. Even though this is a quiet park it is very close to town which is an added benefit. The website says they have a 10-year or newer rule but if your rig looks newer they are willing to make exceptions (they suggest sending pics before you arrive). Our rig is 11 years old and we had no problems. We look forward to staying here again in the future. We gave this review 4 stars instead of 5 only because we prefer larger sites with paved pads and these are closer together on gravel.

It is now a nice, clean, updated park with the best wifi we have experienced in a long time! The back-in site we had was a wide, shaded, gravel site, with a picnic table. The whole park is gravel, but smooth to walk. The Uncompahgre River is next to the park, and they have taken the time to set up benches and fire pits to enjoy the water. There is also a nice dog park in the center of the park, easy to get to from any of the sites. Tent sites are on grass, right by the river, with picnic tables and fire pits. There is also a community area, with chairs and a large fire pit for hanging out with friends and other Rvers.

Fruit trees, lovely sitting areas and it is right on the Uncompahgre River. The park is under new management and they have done a wonderful job with the park. When you arrive to register, someone escorts you to your site and will help you back in (we are new at this so I very relieved to have help because we were backing up to the river!) Our spot was right next to the dog park, yay! They will refill your propane and deliver goods from the store. The restroom/shower facilities are brand new and spotless. My only complaint about them is that there are only a few hooks to put your belongings for several showers, no benches or tables. There are several restroom stalls. There is a great spot to get into the river just past the fence line. The park is 5 minutes from large stores and several restaurants, maybe 7-10 minutes to downtown Montrose but you feel like you are secluded. 30 minutes from the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We will definitely stay here again.

The campground hosts were super nice and friendly (I talked to Gale & Tigger). We were a few minutes late to check in and they didn't mind at all. The tent sites are right on the Uncompahgre River. It was late July/early August 2020, so the river was fairly low and I would imagine that the tenting sites flood in the spring. But there was nice grass, picnic tables and very flat. Their new shower house is great. It has laundry machines that you can use coins or an app on your phone to operate. And the Wifi was plenty fast for me to work remotely on Monday morning. It is close to 550 and we could hear the road when the wind was blowing that direction, but the river is loud too so you barely notice the highway noise. It very convenient to be so close to town too. I seriously considered staying a few more nights because it was so nice! 10/10 would recommend
