Great walks around the property and on nearby forest service roads make for a great outdoor experience. The large turf areas at the front of the campground are fantastic for children or groups. Mancos and Durango beyond have everything you could want in terms of small town restaurants and stores and larger town supplies. We can’t wait to return!!

Beautiful area, super clean sites. This RV park is big! They definitely take pride in the grounds. Super friendly staff, very helpful. Site sizes to fit any rig, with nice picnic tables with fake grass. Sites are fairly close together, but not awful. Only con for our family the pool closes at 6 p.m. as did the store.

I just love when you walk in to check in after a long day of traveling to be met by a jaded employee with a laundry list of warnings about what not to do. The only amenity she told us about was a laundry room and immediately followed it up with “idk why you would want to do laundry here.” Waited ten minutes for someone to show up to take us to our site, they put us right next to a playground with screaming/crying kids 24/7. There was plenty of sites open but the lady directing us immediately left us in the dust after pointing to our spot. A gross pee stained piece of fake turf that is falling apart is all that there is to stand on outside that isn’t dirt. The cell is significantly worse than what compendium says it is. I’d rather stay in the park next time.

We ended up staying almost 3 months and honestly didn’t want to leave but had to get to FL for repairs.Sites are great, this resort is tucked into the trees off a county road out of the big city. The staff and people are a community and make you feel so welcome. We were able to use it as a home base to explore. Places nearby include: Mesa Verde National Park, Durango, Pagosa Springs, Ouray, Telluride,Wolf Creek & Purgatory for skiing. Lots of National Forest access roads to go explore even more. We loved the open space to walk the dog, we made some really good friends and our kids loved playing at the park. Tuxedo the horse is so sweet, we enjoyed saying hello and seeing the cows from neighboring ranches daily. The sunsets and sunrises are stunning. 100% plan on coming back when we are in Colorado again, we felt welcome, safe and relaxed. Thanks Echo Basin, we will miss you!

It is located less than 30 min from Mesa Verde and about 30 min to Durango, and just outside of the national forest; we enjoyed visiting all of these areas during our stay. Workable internet speeds with Verizon. Quiet with exception of a large group that was there for the weekend; there didn't seem to be enforcement of the listed quiet hours. What makes this park stand out is the spaciousness of the sites and very nice grounds with plenty of trees. They could easily get twice as many sites in the property if they wanted to, but the fact that they didn't is what makes it great. My main complaint is that the office staff were not wearing masks which was required by state order at the time of our stay. I also didn't appreciate the political flags on one of the staff golf carts; I understand this is their choice I just would prefer not to see these during a stay at such a nice property. The rate is more than what we would typically pay. But despite these factors, we would stay here again because of the great qualities mentioned above. They also let us have packages delivered to the office and are dog friendly, which we appreciate.

Really great place for full timers and weekend vacation. Staff is very friendly, WiFi worked good but wasn’t a secure network, very clean (staff continuously maintained the grounds), a peaceful and beautiful campground with tall trees, grassy areas and a few squirrels running around! Some of the spots were closer together but overall large grounds with plenty of space to move around. We would have stayed longer!Laundry and propane on site for a good price. Playground, restaurant open limited days, cabins, golf and more. Not the most updated/new but very well kept with a homie atmosphere. As far as location your couldn’t beat it; 20 mins to Mesa Verda, 30 to Cortez, 35 to Durango. Telluride is about 1.5 away and there is so much more to do (state parks and national monuments). Didn’t get to spend much time in Mancos but the one night we drove around we found a cute outdoor space that hosts local food tracks daily and it was great. Highly recommend!

So we were able to conveniently spend one day in each area. It's a beautifully maintained property. Spaces are a bit close to each other with not a lot of privacy, but we didn't hang around there much to be bothered by it. The facilities were clean, and the hook-ups worked fine. The hosts were friendly and kind. The other campers were either quiet and courteous or the opposite. The campground was OHV heavy on Saturday night, and several campers were driving them around seemingly unnecessarily and until at least 12:30 am. Didn't feel like anyone was enforcing the quiet hour rules either. But Sunday night was significantly quieter as all those folks and their OHVs had left.We didn't take advantage of the horseshoe pits, pickleball and volleyball courts, or children's playground but they are there if you are interested. The is also a golf course. Lots of deer out and about in the early morning and evening, and when we returned one afternoon the local ranchers were moving cattle down the road so we were caught in a round-up. It wasn't much of an inconvenience as it was actually a cool experience. The resort is about 2 miles from the the main road, 160. The road to camp is easy to manage as long as you take your time and watch your speed on the hills and turns.

Nice park, 3 miles off Hwy 160 on a ok road just outside of Mancos city. The park was pretty big and they had RV sites and cabins. They had a restaurant that was open for dinner and breakfast on the weekend. Really nice and friendly owners and staff. They had astro turf mats on the sites.

But we don’t want our campground to be a glorified parking lot, either, so we like wooded campgrounds that still give you that camping feel.Echo Basin fits that bill. It’s located several miles from the highway (so no road noise) in a wooded area next to a farm. The roads and sites are a mix of dirt and gravel: the sites are fairly level and decently spaced. In addition to full hookups, the campground sells propane, has laundry facilities in the bathhouse, a small store attached to the office, a playground for young kids and volleyball, pickleball, and horseshoe courts/pits for older kids and adults. The campground also a clubhouse with a restaurant and bar available to campers when not in use for weddings or other special events (the campground hosts outdoor weddings). Although there’s no designated dog area, there were plenty of places to walk our dogs on-leash.My Verizon cell service was adequate - I got 10Mbps down and 11Mbps up with my Verizon Jetpack and MIMO antenna. Near the end of our month-long stay, we experienced some lagging while streaming TV but only intermittently. My AT&T connection on my phone wasn’t as good - I usually had only 1 bar - but I could still make phone calls. The only drawback to the campground is that nearby Mancos is a small town, and the grocery store in town didn’t have all of our usual groceries (which meant occasional trips to Walmart in either Cortez or Durango). But it was a small inconvenience for staying at a stellar campground where you could see the sun rise over the mountains at dawn and hints of the Milky Way at night. We would happily stay here again.
