But it's very safe and quiet (we didn't hear the locals next door while there over Labor Day) and easy to get in and out. Level FHUs with 50 amp. We don't use the amenities but they all look clean and updated. Friendly and helpful staff. Okay to receive mail and packages. Open sky for satellite (so not many spots with shade). Our site shared the sitting area with the neighbor which we're not fans of, but we don't spend much time on-site so it wasn't a real issue. Decent picnic tables, no fire rings (yay).Walking distance to good Mexican Restaurant. Steakhouse a couple blocks further. Easy RV access for gas and diesel between highway and RV park is very convenient.

Efficient and helpful staff. We were stuck waiting for a part for our RV and they worked things out to accommodate us with a 3 night stay at the last minute. Wide, well maintained paved roads. Crushed stone sites with picnic table. Everything is immaculately maintained and the park is nicely landscaped. We had a pull-through which was long enough to park our 40 ft motorhome and toad. The site was narrow, as in when we put out our patio awning it partially covered our neighbor’s window awning. Some but not all pull-throughs are configured so that rigs park opposite directions and the door side area is shared with your neighbor. The laundry is clean, modern, and well-equipped. Nice grassy dog park. We had 2 bars on T-mobile service. Free WiFi was available but spotty. Close to Colorado National Monument entry station and the town of Fruita. We would be happy to stay here again.

Neighbors on both sides were super nice. If you like elbow room and to be loud, not the place for you.Lot’s and lots of restaurants within walking distance and area outside of the park to walk your dog. (Be careful of all the stickers in the dry fields, ouch).FYI: Wifi didn’t really work for us unless we went closer to the office, or stood in the middle of the trailer. (Site76)We would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful little park. Very clean. Great staff, laundromat, bath houses, great pool and jacuzzi (on the smaller size but very nice). Price reflects Good Sam discount and electric and water only site. Sites are a little small but all have a picnic table. We would absolutely stay here again and even go out of our way to come back.

We were here for the Fruita Fat Tire Mountain Bike Festival and wanted to be close to downtown. You can walk/bike from the state park across the street into town or take a paved trail all the way into Grand Junction. Location is walking distance to restaurants and some shopping. The park is clean and well-maintained. There are multiple shower/restroom and laundry facilities. The pool was not open during our stay and the hottub rules are ridiculous. You must arrange for an appointment to use it – ok, no problem – but you must be out of the tub by 6:30pm! No exceptions. Really?! Apparently after 6:30pm it is for staff use only. I was not happy with that and certainly had no interest in sitting in the hottub in middle of a sunny, hot day. Sites are very close together and alternate directions so you share your gravel sitting area with your neighbor. Each site has a picnic table, with one grill shared between two spaces. There are shade trees around the perimeter of the park, but nothing between spaces to offer shade or privacy. Many of the spaces are rented to long-term/seasonal residents. Staff were very friendly, but, as noted, I was put off by the seemingly arbitrary rules. Lots of “DO NOT…” signs posted everywhere. One perk – for $10 you can wash your RV in your space. That said, the spaces were so close I ended up washing our neighbors windows since there was no way to avoid overspray and I didn’t want to leave them water spotted. ???? The $40 rate includes the GS discount. We had 3 bars of Verizon 4G unboosted. The park’s wifi wasn’t great – it worked ok sometimes (very slow, but functional), other times we couldn’t even get logged in. I’d give it a “C”.

The lady that checked us in was surprised to learn we'd be there for a week. The sites are very long and there is no shade, but the park is nicely kept up. The owner told us the wash the small dog park down every morning with bleach water. I would usually take the dogs there to do their business and then go across the street to walk them in the state park along the Colorado River (my first choice to stay). If you walk across the street and turn left the state park sign, a few feet down the sidewalk is the start of the trail that leads into the park avoiding the roads. There is a big laundry room, multiple bathrooms, a pool, and a hot tub. ATT and Verizon worked well (forgot to write down the bars). You can walk to a few fast food and restaurants from the campground. They give you coupons to some when you check-in. Be warned the cinnamon rolls and biscuits at Starvin' Arvins are massive. Fruita has a cute downtown about 5 minutes away. Grand Junction is down the road with chain stores like Target and Petco. Hey, we hadn't seen any of these in a long time adn needed to run errands. Grand Junction also has a decent regional airport (the reason we were there) and a Cummins shop. The entrance to Colorado National Monument is down the street and worth making the drive through the park.
