This is not the place you will come to have all the amenities (although exceptional Verizon service here) You come here for making connections and having a good time in nature. Wildlife out on the water was so fun to watch, including eagles. Fishing from docks was successful and such a beautiful sandy swim area. I understand why they have so many families that have come here for generations, and I am so glad we were able to experience it!

We had a lakeside site near the playground and it was level, quiet and had a beautiful view. The bathhouses were well maintained and clean. The dump station was clean and convenient. Excellent cell service on both verizon and att made doing a bit of work easy (both had 20+mbps down and 5-10mbps up). It was well located to river adventures on Pine River and Manistee river as well as about 30ish minutes from Manistee. I'd happily stay again!

Since our stay was early October there was almost no other campers on site. We enjoyed siting by the lake on our first evening. However, no fault of campground it rained that night and and all day into the next night. We enjoyed a cozy day in our rv. They accepted our Passport America card which lowed our rate.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The campground is on a beautiful lake with places to dock a boat. Others reported the fishing was good. The sites are large and well kept. The RV spaces are either grassy or solid ground. It is quiet. You can hear birds and wind, not cars and trucks. The sites are all well shaded.
