That expectation was not met at this resort. It had activities, but all were far from our campsite, where we have no cell service (both at&t and Verizon) and no WiFi whatsoever. We work while traveling so this put us in a bind, and while this might be a good choice for you, it made our stay unmanageable and is not what I expected for such a high price. The resort itself was fine, just overpriced for what you get.

The park was not as advertised. Bad access to restroom/shower facility. WIFI was spotty at best and we were less than 50 feet away. A lot of road noise at all hours.
A must with kids…

We paid extra to “lock in” our specific site so keep that in mind when booking. Also, if you don’t do well with walking up and down lots of hills, you might consider renting a golf cart. We didn’t, but the majority of families did. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. The place was incredibly clean and we would camp here again in a heartbeat!

Check in was smooth and the gentleman that led us to our site couldn't have been more friendly! The elk were literally EVERYWHERE during our stay, including right in the campground. We did not have cell signal with Verizon, but the park wifi worked quite well! We will absolutely be back to this park! They were paving while we were there which turned out to be a much bigger headache than we thought it was going to be. BUT....this campground is exceptionally well run. The owner was very gracious in handling a tough situation and even helped us carry our groceries around the paving to get to our rig. Tight but well maintained spots. We had zero service and could not connect to the campground WiFi. Having said that, level lots and WiFi are really hard to come by in the Rockies so just go with appropriate expectations.

Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). It had just rained a lot the day prior and apparently it's common up here to rain most afternoons during the late summer months. So our site was pretty muddy. They had tried to fix it up with shovels and a tractor trailer before we got there but it was tricky parking in the muddy gravel. We were the very top site in the campground and it was plenty big but it's a pretty steep incline with some tighter turns for a big rig. And the walk back up from the playground and office was a decent little workout. We were lucky to get a spot without an advanced reservation in late July. All the spots down in Estes Park closer to the national park were reserved so we were happy to be this close. The playground was fun but not very big and a little dated. The mini golf course was very nice condition and was free. And the kids always love the jumbo pillow jumper, even though they don't allow flips or tricks.
Probably the best private option in Estes Park

For a private campground we felt that the sites were very spacious and there were lots of trees. For us both of those are worth a lot.The campground is located just outside Estes Park (about 6 minutes), which gets you into the trees and mountains just enough that you feel separated. We really enjoyed this separation and when we needed stuff the town was just a few minutes away. Accessing the campground was easy and the checkin process was simple. The entryway can get a bit crowded, but the staff is quite good at getting people in and out. We had an escort to our site who gave good backing directions to get us tucked right in. There is a wide range in sites and site quality here. If you are in a smaller rig and get into some of the purple sites, there are some great ones. We camped in the full hookup section which seemed to not be as nice as the water/electric section. The biggest advantage is the sites in the full hookup area are easier to get in and out of (for the most part). Our favorite site was 67. We had some leveling issues in site 68 and there was really no good place to setup chairs around the fire ring. The campground is set into the natural landscape and as such, it is not flat. You will get a workout just walking around the campground. They do rent golf carts but we felt that they were very overpriced. Getting from the pool to site 14 is something that might require a few breaks along the journey. The main focus of this campground is kids with many activities and amenities targeting a younger demographic. We did notice that even though the campground was full during the week, there were many more planned activities for the kids on the weekend. The staff all seemed quite nice and were easy to work with. I would have expected a bit more enthusiasm from them given the type of campground that this is, but overall they were all quite nice.We saw no enforcement of quiet hours while we were there. We had neighbors that were up well past midnight laughing and carrying on by their fire multiple nights. We did however see a lot of attention from the maintenance department. They were always around working and addressing small issues which we saw as a very good thing. All in all we liked this campground and would likely stay here again. Not so much for the "Jellystone" experience, but because we felt it was really the best option in the area.
