Not like some places that seem like parking lots. They have good wifi at your site as well as in the clubhouse. The clubhouse is clean and has showers and restrooms that are clean. Yes there are boats sometimes, but I’d expect as much since it’s located less than 2 miles from the McPhee Lake boat dock. Also 2 miles the other direction to the charming little town of Dolores. Really your minutes away from plenty of outdoor stuff. So if you’re into hiking, biking or side by side trails this is definitely the place.

My only complaint is no shade, but there is an RV Resort down the road at twice the cost with no shade either. This CG is quiet, spacious sites, clean laundry room with working machines, owners are on site and available, perfect location. Yes it does appear that locals live here but they are mostly in the back and they are quiet and have caused us no trouble. I have seen the owners most every day out doing something to make improvements to the CG. We could not be more pleased with our stay and would definitely stay again if we are back in this area.

The good. They take Passport America, but only if you call. They don't take it online. It's close to Mesa Verde National Park. The bad. It's muddy, kinda gross, and looks like a salvage yard with lots of debris, broken down vehicles, and even a boat in front of the clubhouse. Their website makes it seem nicer than it is. Space 8 is a back-in, but the hookups are on the wrong side. The site itself is narrow. The dog park is muddy. I won't let my dogs in there. You can hear noise from the nearby road. I'm giving it three stars because of the price and availability.

  • Smaller campground, but tired.

We should have paid closer attention to previous reviews. We did have FHU. There was wildlife and Pricklypear cactus. There were flush toilets and showers. While I think we could have found a more vacation oriented CG, CV-19 did it's part to limit the extent of surrounding park and museum enjoyment. We'll be more careful in planning our next trip to Deloris.

Good about the campground: owners seem nice - hooks-ups worked great - close to town - they take Passport America but you must pay in cash or check. So why the 1 star. We paid for 7 nights and left after two! Didn’t ask for our money back we just left. Our site was awful. It was soft dirt and we kept sinking. Evidently our site used to be a road and people kept driving their trucks right through our site. You could not or would not set up a table, chairs or BBQ outside. The rules stayed that everyone needed to keep their campsite clean, yet right out of our side window we got to stare at another site with tires, oil and trash laying in the site. No WiFi, no tv over the air and cell with major providers very weak. Honestly, the only reason to stay here is if you are passing through and need one night of hook-ups. Sites 1-5 look fine. They are right down in the front. But look at the rest of the photos. You’re not going to want to sit outside or take a walk.

We talked twice before arriving and met 2 other family members while camping. It had snowed about a foot so they plowed out our spot right before we arrived. They have back ins and pull throughs.water and electric. Has WiFi for RVs. Clubhouse includes kitchen, large TV, books, movies, games, brochures, bathroom with awesome showers, couch, etc. they also rent out cabins and rooms in the clubhouse. Used the kitchen to wash dishes, make food, fill up on water due to single digit temps and not wanting to bust our pipes in RV. Laundry on site. 1.50 a load to wash and 50 cents for 20 minutes on dryers. Owners dog on property but wasn’t a problem. Includes nice fenced in dog park! About 35 minute drive to Ruins of the Ancients. Would love to stay here again in the summer time and visit again! I showed up as a stranger and left as a friend!
