We selected this place because Hyw 50 was closed coming from Gunnison so we could not get to Montrose. Had to take Hyw 92 as a detour. Sure glad we did. Some of the best driving scenery in Colorado during last week of September. The park is fine. Very friendly owners. Shopping, gas, car and camper wash are all 2-3 minute drive. There is also a public fishing access spot 13 minutes away towards Hotchkiss, Rainbow and Brown trout in the Lower Gunnison River. Black Canyon at Montrose is only 35 minutes away.
Friendly, clean, excellent WiFi, and inexpensive

I echo the other reviews, with some updates. The propane is still $1.47 (almost half the cost at the other end of town), and they now have excellent WiFi (25Mbits). T-Mobile coverage was 4 bars, 7Mbit download, 20Mbit upload, but we used their WiFi as it was much faster!
It could not have been better.

We felt as if we were out in the country, but the park is within easy walking distance of a Walmart, two banks, and a variety of resturants and businesses. There was plenty of room to get our 32 foot motorhome around in the park and into, and out of, our space. The space was big enough for our rig and our car with plenty of room left over. Each space has a picnic table. The park is pet friendly. The other RV'ers are friendly. The park is near the amazing Grand Mesa, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, and Escalante Canyon. There is some road noise, and trains pass nearby. Those noise didn't bother me at all. I enthuestically recommend this park.
Great spot coming off boondocking

This place is mostly full time residents with a row or two for overnighters, plus tent camping in the back area. Lots of shade trees, small laundry, very old, but clean swimming pool and really nice on-site owners. Close to the road with some road noise, a small play area for kids and overall an okay spot to recharge your batteries after boondocking! There’s a Walmart just across the way, and propane is really cheap, $1.47!! WiFi is spotty, but owner says they are working on that currently by installing new equipment. Cable tv is available as well! Lots of bang for the buck here!!

Stop here if you need a recharge from boondocking. The park is located right next to train tracks and 2 or 3 came through in the middle of the night, so if that would bother your sleep better choose another park. That’s the only reason for a 3 on the noise. Otherwise the park is a great quiet little park. Park staff were absolutely over the top friendly and helpful.
