Cottonwood Cove is nestled against a stunning rock cliff in the San Juan mountains in between South Fork and Creede. Horses frequent the grounds outside the fence and on one evening big horn sheep were climbing down from the cliff. The RV park is part of the complex which is on both sides of the road and has cabins, a restaurant, gift shop, and horse rides. Small continental breakfast included in the rate. Across the road from the RV park is private access to the beautiful Rio Grande river headwaters for fishing, and swimming if it's hot enough. Even though it's on the highway, traffic is so light that road noise was not an issue.Sites are nothing special but I had full hookups and a decent gravel base. Site 11 where I was is next to the WiFi amplifier thing so I had great WiFi even though I had absolutely no cell service the entire week.10 minutes from Creede, 15 or less from South Fork. Overall, beautiful spot and a great value.
