Friendly hosts and nice place to stop and rest on your journey

We stayed in site 11, the last one, for 2 days in late June. The sites are grassy and all looked fairly level. Ours was only about a 1/3 of a bubble off side-to-side. The sites are typically spaced for a private CG. Some have smallish trees, while others are open. There is a little road noise from CO-125, but not excessive. The camp store has a few of the basics, but don’t expect too much. The sewer receptacle is not threaded, so you'll need to otherwise secure your sewer hose. AT&T coverage is a little complicated; on the South side of the RV service ranged from 1-2 Bars of 4G/LTE with service up to 8 MB/s up, but on the North side service ranged from no service to 4 bars of 3G, with speeds up to 2.5 MB/s. T-Mobile had 4 bars of 4G service. It was probably LTE, but our Solis X hotspot only delivers 4G. We were able to get DISH coverage on all three western satellites at our site. There were no OTA channels to be had with our fixed omni antenna.
Pleasant, quiet, great for a stopover or a few days of fishing and touring the sand dunes

The owners are pleasant and helpful. They shared fishing spots, stories from history of the area, and had clearly struck up relationships with folks staying a bit longer term. Sites are pretty typical for a commercial CG, but the wide open plains makes you feel like you have much more room. Laundry was cheap! and efficient. The park is about 5 miles from a public access point for the North Platte (why we were there) and close to sand dunes on BLM land.

The CG offers a small store, and about 15 miles south, the town of Walden has both gas and restaurants. All sites are pull-through, long, and relatively level. While spacing is pretty typical of commercial CGs, there are trees between each site, and this is plus/minus… added privacy, but it also made our site a little narrow with slides on both sides. The utilities were easy to reach and worked perfectly, and while the park was half-full during our stay, it was super quiet, which I imagine is usually the case. Other amenities include a bathhouse and laundry.I initially emailed to check availability and called to finalize our reservation, both quick and easy, and the owners were/are very nice. The park is a little like staying on someone’s farm, pretty, quiet, and quaint, and there is plenty of room to walk around outside. Our Verizon worked fine without the booster, but was in and out approaching and leaving the park. We would stay here again with the caveat that $40 ($43.56 with tax) is more than we usually pay for this type of site/location.
