Mostly nice, there were a few junky areas but bathrooms, etc were spotless. River is nice and a frequent visitor told me that they often see bighorn sheep on the other side of the river. We weren’t lucky enough to see them this time.

  • Great time!!

20 minutes from Salida and along the Arkansas River. The staff was super friendly. They had a playground and a small beach area for the kiddos! Sites were level and I didn’t feel crowded. The Arkansas River was a few hundred yards from our camper and I fished every morning. The pool wasn’t open but they said it will be open in July. ...more20 minutes from Salida and along the Arkansas River. The staff was super friendly. Definitely will be visiting again!!

  • No grass where you camp. Small cottages on the river and pool. Fly fishing at river Nice owners

Not really close to town so get provisions ahead of time we like green campgrounds and this one was pretty much red dirt like the area so I gave it a 4 star rating. The new owners are super nice and helpful. Come out to help you get set up WiFi was good. We decided to leave early and they gave us a refund would like to patronize them again because they were so nice the view across the highway is beautiful and walking along the river was nice too stayed in August 2018
