After spending hours (and dollars) getting the tire situation handled, we realized we would not make it near where we wanted and would have to find a close by place to camp for the night. A quick call to check pricing and availability and Friendly RV Park lived up to their name. The host was very friendly on the phone, and quickly found us a spot to accommodate our 34ft 5th wheel. There are pull through and back in spots, and would be good for large or small RVs. They offer cable, WiFi, water, sewer, and electric. There’s excellent views of Mt. Shasta! Plenty of trees to make you feel less cramped. A dog walk area, horse shoes, and cornhole! I wish I could rate 5 stars, because it was a nice park. Only draw back was truck noise due to a trucker area right on the other side of the fence. This still would not deter me from staying here again, but it was noisy at night. Happy camping!-WeRV
Despite misinformation on CAMPENDIUM, the entire park is 30 AMP ONLY, no 50 amp in any site.

Roads in and out were a little tight for my 42' Class A but we wiggled through. Our site (site "I") was just long enough for our rig and our car behind, but that's it... but it was enough. However, as I mentioned in my title, I booked this site based on the information I got from Campendium that claims this site has 50 amp. IT DOES NOT. Amy was surprised when I asked because I told her "The website said you had 50 amp," to which she replied, "No it doesn't." She said it nicely, but I knew I wouldn't make a mistake like that... we *need* 50 amp for our all electric rig. So when I went back to check I realized my mistake... believing the info on Campendium and not confirming it myself.Despite it being not her fault, Amy was gracious enough to refund the full amount of our stay and out deposit. She didn't have to, especially since we'd already parked the rig, but she wanted to do the right thing and I very much appreciated it.Lesson learned: Don't assume Campendium is reporting accurate information... double check it yourself, just to be sure.If your rig is 30 amp, I highly recommend Friendly RV in Weed, CA. They absolutely live up to their name.

Only complaints were that our spot was not too level and bordered a truck stop on the other side of the trees. If we were trying to "get away", the noise would have been a nuisance. However, as a stopover, this place was perfect. There is also a Starbucks nearby with truck parking next door to help provide the extra motivation to get going in the morning.

The bathrooms are closed (which is fine, they let you know that on the site ahead of time), our mail was rejected three times from different places so we never got our packages, and you have to call to be let in to the laundry room, but I called 8 times over two weeks and nobody ever picked up. They have posted office hours, but the office is "closed", so I never saw a staff member, nor was I able to get laundry done and I still dont know why my mail was rejected. There are no other amenities like a park or pool, so without any of that, it's currently a glorified pretty parking lot with hookups. On the plus side, the RV park is really pretty. Gorgeous views of Mount Shasta, and they really take care of the grounds - lots of flowers and mature trees around. Our site, J, was probably one of the best sites. A true pull through (most of the other pull throughs are nose to tail, so if someone is already pulled through, you have to back up to get out). The cell reception was great as far as bars, but the towers must be overloaded because we were getting 5 up/5 down for the most part. Incredibly slow, with lots of lag. It's right by a Pilot, so easy to fill up the RV but very expensive gas. Walking distance to a grocery store with fairly good prices. I'm sure it would be better in a non-Covid world, but currently can't recommend it.

Arrived and picked up packet which was taped to the office window due to covid 19. Backed into our site nestled in the trees. Full hook up, cable & wifi. Small pretty campground in the trees. Easy on and off from the highway with some highway noise during the day but quiet at nighttime. Would defiantly return if ever in the area.

Landscaping and ground are well maintained, staff is friendly, wifi works greats, laundry and dog runs are clean and ample. Located directly behind a Flying J, so constant truck noise is a downer, but easy on/off access to I5 is a fair trade.

Office and restrooms were closed because of Covid but easy to make online reservations and our check in envelope taped to office door so easy enough. Laundry room open, honor system for paying $2 wash $2 dry. Very nice Grocery Outlet walkable and almost right next door. Excellent Verizon signal with external antenna, easily streamed tv. Slightly noisy because of Pilot truck stop nearby. Not the most scenic but it smelled of pines and beautiful Mt. Shasta visible. Would definitely stay again as an overnighter.

Super friendly people, got to change sites so we had grass for our dog. Site 7 had perfect view of Mt. Shasta. Right off I-5 so easy. Walked across street to the Dos Amigos restaurant. This Texan loved the food! Only drawback is the Pilot behind the park, can’t see it but there is a little noise.
