Checked in the afternoon with a motorhome, trailer and atv. The day manager had us put our trailer and atv where he wanted them since the lot we were booked in would not accommodate. 8am a lady manager banged on our door screaming at the top of her voice threatening because we had our trailer and atv where she didn't want them. Tried to explain but she was too nasty to listen. Ultimately she called the local sheriff who made a visit. Fortunately he listened and made an agreement with us and her separately since we merely had done what was asked of us. Really don't appreciate paying to be yelled at. Wouldn't recommend anyone to be subjected to this kind of abusive treatment. Wish I had noted all of the reviews concerning the rudeness at this place.

basic, older style campground but it’s clean, has decent site spacing and a good location for exploring death valley. clean bathrooms and shower (free); hot springs pool, full hookups, good wifi, friendly manager. The town has one restaurant (Crowbar Café and Saloon) and a gas station, that’s about it. They offer a GoodSam discount.

Older park but it was a perfect one nighter in between boondocking. Had a really relaxing soak in the hot springs pool. Showers and laundry were clean. Site was level. We’d stay again.

A real configuration of sites here like there were many added after the Rv park was built. Ours didn't even have a number but just a little pull thru site in front of a mobile home rental. We easily made the little walk to the Crowbar restaurant ( yummy Mexican food), and whats called a museum. But it was closed due to the covid.
Just ok

A nice dated park. Upkeep was questionable. Very friendly accommodating young lady in office. Layout of park was unique, enjoyable short nature trail. Close to Death Valley. A good choice for short stays.
Wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful time here and would definitely recommend this park for Death Valley. The sites are set up a bit weird so be choosy with which one you pick. The folks working here are great though, and we’re really accommodating to changes we requested. There are several miles of trails you can walk straight from the park.
Great stay

Unexpected very nice place. A green oasis in the desert. Hot spring pool (87F/31C) a little bit dated but perfect water quality. Very good high speed WiFi (30 MBit). Friendly and helpful staff.
Odd layout but does have a pool

When I arrived they had someone else in the spot I had booked and they stuck us in another spot. The "entrance" the site was a joke and not designed for a 30+ foot RV, especially a 5th wheel. We ended up having to drive on their lawn to get level/straight in the site and had to drive over the lawn to leave the site. The staff was not helpful at all despite going back to them about the site. They had multiple "sites" that were literally the park road. Thankfully there were not a lot of people there because we would have had a heck of a time getting out the park.We stayed here because of its proximity to DV park entrance and we needed cell service. Next time we would just boondock or stay in the park itself since this place was NOT worth $36. There is a gas station by the RV Park but know its about $0.40 more per gallon than the gas station IN Death Valley park. I did not use the rest room, but my husband said it was the dirtiest bathroom he had ever been in. There are other options that would likely be a better option.

I wasn't expecting this level of upkeep, the plants are mature, the lawns watered, the facilities very clean, and all of the rigs in the park are well kept...i.e. no dilapidated long-term rigs/sites. We paid $40 as we are not Good Sam or AAA members.I had no competition for the laundry 2 washers, 2 dryers. The dryers will do a double load so you can save a bit there. $2/wash and $2/dryWe weren't planning to check out the pool but the sun made it look pretty inviting. It's a constant 89 degrees all year round which on an 80 degree day didn't feel very refreshing. There were a lot of tiny bugs floating on the waters surface so a constant arm wave was necessary to keep them off your face. However we quickly struck up conversation with a pair of snowbirds and all worries of the bugs were quickly forgotten. In the evening we took the dog for a walk and found a delightful little trail network immediately across from the tent sites. There seems to be some habitat rehabilitation work ongoing here and it's a pleasure to enjoy it on a cool evening.Overall the park is, a little palm springs, meets a little tiki vibe and it's obviously well loved and cared for. DID I MENTION THE WI-FI IS BLAZING FAST?!?! **Only the download speeds, the upload speeds aren't much to write home about.

Love this place. It’s small, super cute, friendly staff, nice level sites, super strong WiFi, great views...but no cell and very dated washrooms. It’s was a great locatio to go explore death valley. If you’re coming from the north, get your groceries in Pahrump. There is nothing to speak of in Shoshone.
Lots of charm and personality.

This little park is the only game in town and although the facilities are old and a little funky, everything is well kept up and clean. Management is friendly and it's really nice to find an RV park in the desert that actually has some grass and shade trees! It was a welcome stay after dry camping in Death Valley for several days. The swimming pool was built in 1920 and is kept at about 83 deg. year round by hot springs water which comes into the pool via a large diameter pipe. Turn the valve on the pipe and the water is diverted to a large outdoor overhead shower - a not to be missed experience! As the others have noted, some sites are on grass and others on gravel. Some have shade and others are out in the sun. Pick a site to suit the weather. The tent sites looked very nice. They are on grass by the pond, have wooden windbreak screens, picnic tables, and a shelf to put your camp stove on. The washrooms and showers are old, but clean and adequate with plenty of hot water for the showers. There is a laundry and a neat "library" as well as a small communal kitchen (in the library building). It's easy walking distance to "town" and the Crowbar Cafe and Saloon. Several short hiking trails lead off from the park for those wanting to get some exercise. It was very quiet at night too - always a plus as far as we're concerned. We had absolutely no cell service and were told there is none in the village at all. The park's WiFi worked well most of the time especially during the day when not too many people were trying to use it at the same time.
No cellular, meant we had to leave... :(

Some are back in, a few pull through. Location: This is in the middle of NOWHERE, an oasis in the desert. With that said it is right off the highway and very close to the rest of the town, walking distance. There is a gas station/general store, a cafe/bar. The closest grocery store and Walmart are 27 miles away in Pahrump, it is a beautiful drive in itself.Cleanliness: Judy and Clay the couple running the place had things looking spic and span! The pool was clean, I didn't see any trash and they mowed and cleaned/trim trees. They have created a cute little walking trail next to the pool area which is super adorable and leads to a few ponds with Pupfish! There are public restrooms, a laundry room, and a "library". Site Quality: The sites were typical, a few were little close for my taste, some had shade, some didn't, there is also lots of room for tents. Not as spacious as a state park but not crammed together like sardines either. Noise: I am used to my neighbors not walking directly through my site, at this park nobody seemed to know that unspoken rule so we constantly had people walking and talking outside our rig in our spot, plus everyone having fun at the pool is a little loud. There were a lot of kids there when we were and seems to be more of a vacation style spot.On the door to the office is a sign that reads: THERE IS NO CELLULAR SERVICE HERE. The wifi DID work, pretty well during the day but not so much at night. We are working from our moho and need phones, texting etc. SO we had to leave, unfortunately. We found a spot in the nearby town of Pahrump.

Surprisingly there is a lot to do and see at this older facility, sill owned by the family that built the town 100 years ago. We stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend and the weather was perfect aside from a couple of episodes of wind. We were able to park our rig on green grass (only a few spots have grass - most are gravel). They have an old warm spring swimming pool which stays at 89 degrees and felt great in the Autumn weather. There are hikes you can take from the park and within walking distance is the rest of the town (population 31) which includes a museum focusing on the origins of the town. If you like old west history you'll love this. There is a restaurant and bar within walking distance, also owned by the founding family. We ate there twice and the food was surprisingly good. The hosts are the best, they work hard at keeping this gem clean and running well.
