Plenty of amenities (laundry, pool, guest bathrooms/showers, meeting room, full kitchen...and of course the Alpacas!Just north of Denton which is far enough to feel like you’re living in the country, but close enough to all the conveniences of the city. The sites are spacious and very well maintained. LTE for verizon is Excellent!!

  • OK campground, just bring a LTE hotspot

It seems like the office is not regularly manned and check ins are left on the bulletin board. As others have noted, the roads are narrow and the sites are fairly close together (in my opinion) and the roads and sites are all gravel. We didn’t have a huge issue with our 32’ trailer but I can see longer rigs having issues. Our site (66) was not level front to back or side to side. This seemed to be common as a lot of other campers’ tongue jacks were very low to the ground. Have a good set or three of leveling blocks ready. The water connection is in ground as opposed to above, so if you have any water leakage or if it rains, this will be underwater. 50 amp power connection was fine and didn’t experience any issues. Camp WiFi topped out at 1mb, so forget high speed browsing or large email attachments. Don’t even think about streaming here without a cellular connection. At&t and T-Mobile both worked fine here for us, enough for streaming that is. Being the 3rd place we’ve been to, the rules they have are a tad scary. Especially re: if police are called, you’re evicted from the campground. It’s a little scary that they included that in the rules, does it happen that often??? Another thing, the trailer next to us seemed to be undergoing renovation, in direct conflict with the rules. The campground is quiet at night which is a good thing, easy to sleep even before 10pm quiet time. Don’t count on the site you book, as we were moved from our original reservation site, seems to be unorganized for that reason.

The office is closed Sunday but they have a bulletin board where an envelope with my name on it. Inside was my pad assignment, WifI password and park rules. Monday thru Thursday I used my Passport America discount at $18 per night. Very well maintained (except for a few potholes) and very friendly folks. They have Alpacas with Guardian dogs to protect them from predators. Because of this you can't walk your dog near the Alpaca enclosure but there is a ton of other places to walk them including an off leash dog corral and several acres of nicely mowed grass in front of the offices. Nice setting, a bit of rolling hills and plenty of space between pads. WiFi is typical for RV parks-basic needs only. Was there during the hottest days of August in north Texas and my one a/c unit was working hard. This would be a great place in spring or fall when you can spend more time outside enjoying the scenery. Google maps tells you to turn 120ft too soon at a road. When Google says turn keep going and the entrance is 120 ft further.

  • Love this park! and the Alpacas too

The new owners (younger couple) took over a while ago, and are doing a nice job. The park is easy to access from Hwy35. , just a few miles away. Nice gravel sites with good spacing. It's on a top of a small hill. good water pressure, and electric. If you have a Motorhome like us with fixed tanks, propane can be delivered to your site by a local company! The Alpacas are so cool, they get fed every day and you can join in on the feeding fun. Laundry facilities are really nice, lots of machines. Shower building is also nice. There is a small downtown which has nice shops and "Babes Chicken Dinner" a local gem. Also BBQ and other shops. 10 miles down the road you can get to all the big box stores in Denton, and plenty of RV supplies nearby too.

We drove to slot 63 only to find the water connection was full of muddy water. My husband tried to call the camp manager 4 times and each time was hung up on. The manager finally sent a text telling him to drive to slot 70 which was our reserved slot in the first place. The actual park was fine although the gravel roads were somewhat narrow making it hard to make turns with our 41' fifth wheel. We found that the park was clean and well maintained, so that is a point in their favor. The camp was quiet with little highway noise. The town of Sanger is small and doesn't even have a Wal-Mart. We probably would not stay here again unless it was absolutely necessary.
