BUT, when you're on the road needing Wifi access for working and school, remote mountain spots are really not in the cards. We stayed here because we also wanted to explore the Bay Area on our way to SoCal (there are really a lack of campgrounds in that area with internet connectivity and space for our 30' Airstream, especially during Covid). So we took a chance. I will say the staff and the residents were so friendly. Really, really nice people, and helpful. But this is basically a mobile home park with some permanent RV residents sprinkled throughout. I'd say about 1/4 or fewer are traveling RVers. Like I said, everyone was very nice. But our spot "on the creek" was on a smelly, very small waterway with some beach beyond (but no access) and the city very far off in the distance. Where they placed us, in this "premium" spot the Wifi service was nearly nonexistent. The store is very close, so that was handy, and the laundry facilities were nice. But there is hardly any greenery to look at, and you are jammed in next to your neighbors. So go in with your eyes open and if you need an overnight stop, this would be acceptable for those who don't need a lot of ambience.

Paid to dump... Then dumped. While were filling up our water tank and organizing our outside storage, a woman came out of her house looking visably angered. She walked up to me and told me that I should not have been here, because they stop allowing people to dump at 4:30 and that I needed to have stopped dumping by 5 PM. I told that I had stopped dumping a while ago and were just organizing and filling up. She then told me to hurry up and leave and walked away. I looked around for signage about the times ... Nothing... The website only says that the dumpsite closes at 5pm. After about 5-10 minutes the woman walks back out and puts up a sign that says that the dumpsite is closed. At no point did this woman tell me that she was the manager, I had to ask. To put this into further context... I am a black man and she is a white woman. I will not go back to this RV park, nor should anyone else as this service sucked. I don't know if this woman is racist or just plain rude, but this entire situation could have been handled much better.

It is functional and convenient, the shower room is new and clean with large shower areas. The dog walking field is great, but otherwise this is simply a large concrete RV parking lot. Waterfront sites are nice, except sometimes smells from the water plant drift over, which isn’t nice. But being in the Bay Area this is close to everything and a good place to park while you explore. However if you have 2 weeks, go to the East Bay to Anthony Chabot Regional Park — beautiful serviced sites in amongst the giant eucalyptus trees (see review on that site for more).

This is my first camping review.I stayed at Trailer Villa for 5 days. First time in Redwood City. Great spot for my trailer in the new section. View of the bay. Near new bathroom and shower. Very clean. Nichole and Assad were great to work with. This is more of a residential park but I thought it was great. I found my way to Veterans Blvd where all food and stores were very close by.SF very accessible as well as the 101 freeway.I thought my first experience was great. You need to have a 50 amp connector if you are a 30 amp Trailer like I am but you can rent it from the Trailer Villa office for 25.00 and they will refund your deposit when plug is returned as well as the bathroom key rental for 25.00 also. Expensive but you get your money refunded. I will return again in July. Thanks Nichole for your kindness and great personality. See you in July 2018. ????Julie Atlas, RV Travel Blogger

So, if you need to make a "last minute" booking (we booked on a Thursday for the weekend) to get within 30 minutes of the city, try here! This RV park has a "new" and "old" section. We decided to stay in the "old" section, which was $75/night (we are still trying to get used to California prices), and the "new" section was $90/night. The only difference between the 2 sections (besides the old/new factor) was 30amp ("old") VS 50 amp ("new"), otherwise each section had full hookups. STATS:-$75/night for full hookups w/30amp-$90/night for full hookups w/50 amp-asphalt with concrete slab -RVs of all sizes-laundry ($1.50/wash and $1.25/dry - coin and card operated)EXPLORING:-We drove into San Francisco within 30 minutes on a Saturday morning.-The town of Redwood City is within 3 miles of the resort, and has restaurants, taquerias, and is well-developed.DOGS: -They provide 2 grassy and well-maintained dog walk areas, which our dogs enjoyed!Overall, we would have rather paid $30-$40/night for this place (based on it's cleanliness, highway noise, and parking lot feel), but, we ended up loving the accessibility to San Fran, the friendly staff and neighbors, convenient laundry facilities, and grassy dog areas. We would stay here again if we visit San Fran and the Bay area.

  • Very urban camping: concrete pad and otherwise asphalt, although some nice touches of flowers and lawn.

It's an RV park inside of an old trailer court. The four rows next to the bay are modern with elect., water, and sewer and intermittent wifi. No cable so the only tv entertainment are four antenna channels, two of which are in an Asian language. The bathrooms are in a relatively new and architecturally pleasing building ($25 refundable deposit). They consist of 5 individual sinks, toilets, and shower or bathtub units--very private! The view of the bay and Contra Costa County is nice. The main attraction is the RV park's immediate access to various suburbs and to the city of San Francisco. Adjacent to the Bayshore (Hwy 101) freeway. Nice touch: one of the managers is a novelist . . . how urbane is that?
