We passed through Palm Desert in inhospitable summer during a 115 degree heat wave, so we made copious use of the pool and showers (which were spacious, empty and luxurious!) Had a nice site with a big shade tree. Grassy. Attractive campground. We will definitely return when visiting Joshua Tree in winter!

The resort is extremely clean, well-maintained, and quiet. We are normally boondockers, so it felt decadent having full hookups, daily trash pickup, and all the rest of Emerald Desert's amenities such as sparkling swimming pools, daily activities, free Saturday Continental Breakfast, etc. We upgraded to the "luxury" site which meant that the spacing between sites was a bit greater and we had a lovely patch of green grass between us and our neighbors. We have a very small trailer, so our only issue was the distance from our sewer connection and the resort's. With so many nearby stores, it just took a quick online order for curbside pickup at Wal-Mart for extra hose and we were good-to-go. Literally. As others have mentioned, Interstate 10 and a set of major East-West train tracks lie right behind the resort, but neither were very disruptive to us. YMMV.We will absolutely stay here again and again, and we highly recommend it to others. In fact, we challenge you to find a nicer RV resort anywhere else!

We had some peekaboo views of the mountains. It is near the freeway and train so there is some noise, but when I went to bed I really didn’t notice it and was able to sleep. It is a bit pricey, but it is quite nice and very clean. Not unexpected given it’s location. We will absolutely stay here again when in Palm Springs area.I would give this place a 4.5 if possible. 5 star for me requires huge, very private spaces without road/train/freeway noise.

The office closes at 5pm, and while they have a pretty good check in process, that only works if they remember to send you the gate code to get into the resort! It took three calls to the afterhours line to get someone, but everything was easy after that. At $85 a night, seemed a little pricey, but probably cheaper for longer stays and lots of amenities if you have the time to take advantage of them. We would definitely be happy to stay here again.

We had a power outage on Thursday, May 2, and another on Friday, May 3 as we were headed out to Joshua Tree for the day. Knowing that power would be cut on Friday, there no communication from management to let Is know. They then inturn blamed the city and there crews for not notifying us. Thank God we didn’t leave earlier as we could have returned to find our pet cat dead or injured from the high heat. When we suggested several solutions such as that our cat stay in one of the party rooms that had air conditioning they declined because of allergy reasons for next seasons guests as the rooms are impossible to clean even by professionals per the general manager. When power was restored they sent someone to tell us, but I still don’t feel comfortable leaving our beloved pet in the park unattended just in case.

They also do little get togethers like Sat morning breakfast and a happy hour type thing if you're into that. Great wifi and I think they had hi-def TV.

  • Perfect for level, full hook up and easy off the I-10.

Not many other people here so super wifi and pool to ourselves except a nice family! Another important note: Make sure you are confirmed and have a gate code if you are expected to arrive after hours. We were lucky to have gotten to the "non-rv park" type entrance when the night manager was diving in andhe escorted us to a site as the office was no longer open and the online ad toll free number didn't help. There is definitely trains going by and it's noisier in the areas closer to the track and the freeway. Our goal was to have full hook up so that we could clean up the rig after two weeks out before we got back to the heat at home. It was perfect. Not sure how it would be during high season!
