Good price for an in route place to refresh your tanks, do laundry and take a shower. I especially liked that most spots had a row of Orlando bushes between each site. Giving you a sense of privacy. You can hear the freeway traffic, but it wasn't enough to bother us.

We stayed here overnight on a long trip. The staff was friendly, and the campground relatively clean. The pool was nice in the evening of the 100+ degree day.

  • Nice for an overnight stop.

Not the fastest Wi-Fi (520 kbps at site 56) but adequate for our needs as we are not "working" campers. Clean bathrooms and hot showers with laundry open 24 hours. Privacy oleander hedges between a lot of sites. Nice dog run with horseshoe pits inside also, not sure how that would work with horseshoes and doggos together. Nicely stocked camp store open 7AM to 7PM. And for the RV challenged there are mini cabins available. Easy access from the 40 freeway but far enough away that noise was minimal outside and negligible inside.

Each of those sites has a wall of tall plants on both sides, which added a bit of privacy to what were otherwise typically-sized sites for a KOA. It was also the side of the park where the long-term residents reside. The staff and the few folks we interacted with were all friendly. Our site had two 30amp receptacles. Both of them had slight damage around the holes for the plug, but they held the plug in firmly. We started getting high voltage from the first of the plugs one night, so we switched to the other one. There is plenty of open desert around the campground to walk dogs in. There is a small K-9 dog park but it looks like it used to be the horseshoe area: the horseshoe pits are still there inside the dog park.In terms of cell service, the best speeds I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during our stay was around 35Mbps down and 30Mbps up, which was enough to stream TV with an occasional stutter. The one speed test I performed on my AT&T phone showed 48Mbps down and 3Mbps up, but most of the time my phone showed just one or two bars of service. Not a bad place to stay for a quick layover.

Sites are the typical desert gravel with a few trees/shrubs between some of the sites. Verizon worked great (5 bars), AT&T only had 2 bars but was usable as well. It was very windy and hot during our stay in late April. Most sites are 30-amp only, we got one of the few 50-amps sites. All are pull-through. We'd happily stay here again.

  • Friendly service. Easy access. Gravel site and was not level.

But the sites will need to surveying before setting up.It is Needles and there isn’t much in the area. We used it as an overnight on our way east. There are train tracks nearby and we did hear the train whistle at least twice between 11:00pm and 7am. Didn’t bother us one bit. They do sell propane on site which was a blessing for the next few nights of dry camping we had planned.Grab a Route 66 magnet from the gift store while you’re there.

Friendly staff, well monitored by the staff golf cart. Large level spaces, desert conditions so it’s very dusty. WiFi was just ok. Lots of noise from ATVs at night playing around in the desert, which isn’t the fault of the KOA. The amenities were fine. Road in was rough. Good cell service. The KOA itself was fine.
