We have stayed at a few KOA’s over the years and this one is great! The whole place was clean. The staff was FANTASTIC! They were super accommodating and helpful. We had no issues with any of the hookups or site. Would definitely stay again.

Sorry, this KOA is worn out. I’m not wild about the KOAs that are paved over, but would it kill them to bring in some gravel? But what really galled is was, when asking for a shadier spot at 98 degrees, the answer was “No, it messes up the computer “ while I understand if the place was full, but a half dozen shady spots were open all night. My advice? Take a remedial computer class…

The person working the office was friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and efficient. The close location to town make this a great spot for visiting the town of Mt. Shasta. Laundry is on the high side at $4.50 per load to wash. Great water pressure at our site. Good cellular data connection on my ATT hotspot. Lots of family groups and kids so if you're looking for total quiet, this isn't the place.

We booked online. There were multiple site levels (full hookups, partial hookups, etc). It seemed others who booked online didn't see that the amenities differed at the different price points (which makes sense) and weren't prepared for lack of sewer hookup. Stayed here in winter, minimal snow on ground, temp below freezing at night. Sewer worked well. Water good. Power good. Didn't try the cable. Access is single lane (but encompasses both directions of travel) with big trees on both sides. Only the least experienced driver with the largest rig would have any difficulty though.Only minor gripe was that we made 2 calls during mid-day Saturday to ask questions or book, the voice mail message sounded pretty unprofessional, and I didn't get a call back from either message. The lady at the office on Sunday morning was very kind and let us stay just a bit past the check out time so we could get an extra run on the local slopes before returning to check out.

There weren’t that many people there so we had a choice of sites. They are closely spaced, but there are a lot of really tall mature trees which made it feel park like. They have a little fenced area for dogs and the area walking was nice. Everything worked well, good cell phone signal, we did not use the Wi-Fi. Trains but otherwise quiet and peaceful. Super easy on and off, all sites pull through. Site level.

All this, with some boondocking sites we may utilize in the future, nestled perfectly at the base of Mount Shasta. We will be back! Thank you Mt Shasta Koa!

This campground is open during the corona virus for campers. The cabins are not. There were only a few others while we were here. The cable was fuzzy but we watched movies on our dvr.

Came in late, so only dry sites with no hookups available - still charged $40 to essentially park. The worst part is that it is right near the train tracks, so all night long we heard noise from the trains, which led to restless sleep. Nice setting, but we couldn’t wait to leave.

I came here from Eugene, Oregon which had experienced a lot of rain, so this was dry and sunny and very pleasant. Even though it is a fairly open campground, there are some large trees in some of the campsite areas as well as the tent area. The one big drawback for some will be the early morning trains, I didn't hear them as I usually have fans on. Fairly certain they have WiFi but I didn't need it.

This is maybe the only place in town you can't see the mountain from. Still, I would come back here in the ruffle of a squirrel's take because:1. It's cheap for a KOA. $31 for full hookups, pull through, and 6 people were included. 2. It's kid-centric. A playground, a pool... Why do old people even go to KOAs? These are the main reasons we do. 3. It's so close to town, and town rules like a cutoff jean jacket vest with an anarchy spray painted in the back. One of my favorite towns ever. The staff was nice, cellular internet just okay, my dog got lost and my kids freaked out the entire time. Sites were small. No fire pits. Lovely trees from around the world. They sold beer and propane on site. The end.
