Gee wiz I was just greatful to have a place to park our trailer for the night. We were road weary and just needed 1 night. Our spot #9 was a pull thru with 2 picnic tables and a large concrete pad. The twisty, dusty, dirt campground loops are bumpy, rutted and just terriblymaintained. The sites are many configurations, some packed in like sardines, some more spaced apart. Some little triangles of weed grass with tents on them. I was amazed at how many big rigs got in those tiny slots. But they did! Some slots were only a couple feet apart. And right next to out buildings and sheds scattered all about. It was the strangest "campground" I have ever been to. They call themselves a "Resort"....hummmm, I don't think so. The place was packed with loud children, and families everywhere. It was extremely noisy but quieted down (thank God) at 10:00 sharp. Many people have come here as their vacation destination. I sure wouldn't recommend it.

    Site number: A46, A38

We camped here in September, 2017. Camp hosts were friendly and you could buy firewood for your campfires from them (they could even deliver it to you in the little electric carts they used). We first chose a nice site, A46, and there were some people in the camp nearby, but it wasn’t very crowded. Pretty quiet place, with nice view of water. They’d had some problems over the summer with bears raiding the trash bins in the middle of the night, so we were careful to lock our food in the sturdy bearbox between campsites. Sure enough, the bear appeared about 3am, rummaging through the trash bins. From the tent above our car, we had a good look at him because there was a lamp on the main road. Fortunately he didn’t disturb us, tampered unsuccessfully with the bearbox and moved on. The security people patrolled more the second night we were there, which eased the nerves a bit, as midweek at this place had very few other campers. Hopefully by now they have installed sturdier trash bins. They said it was the first season their campground had a bear problem. Halfway through, we were able to switch sites, selecting A38, which is more private and has nice view of water, plus a canopy over picnic tables. Don’t think Mr. Bear visited us there either. We rented a small boat and toured a bit of the lake. The RV sites were nicely maintained and we saw one of the hosts raking the gravel pads. Bathrooms were older, but adequate. We had good showers there. General store with some supplies were available, including ice for our cooler. The marina shop also had ice and souvenirs. By weekend, several sites filled up quickly. Overall, we enjoyed it very much!
