It is right off the river and very close to a beach, hiking, and all the natural wonders of the area. The camp had lots of games and space for kids to run around and is very pet friendly. Comparing to other rv parks in the area, this one seemed to have a lot more going on, including trees and shade. They even have a garden with fresh fruits and veg you can buy. Highly recommend.

Right on the Klamath River. This isn't a fancy place but the management is very nice. Trails in the redwoods. Good Sam and AAA reduced the tab. Convenient off 101. We'd come back.

They gave us information on the area as well as showed us the black bear when he came through camp. This was an excellent location for exploring Prairie Creek and the redwoods, and not a bad drive to town either. One negative was the information on their website showing laundry, when there was not any laundry facilities available, the hosts said that is in progress for the future.

It was quiet, clean, and in the heart of the Redwoods. A wonderful place to stay!!The closest grocery is Cresent City which is about a 20-25 min drive. There is no laundry facility on property nor is there one in Klamath. We had to go into Cresent City. We are a family of seven so having laundry on sight would have been more convenient, but we would still gladly stay again. If your in or near Klamath you need to stay here!

It sits on the river, only a short walk to beautiful beach views and in between all of the state parks that make up Redwood National Park.. It has almost everything you need. The campground itself was incredibly clean meticulously maintained. The community garden and horseshoes were just an added bonus. In case you don’t meet the friendly groundskeeper who gave us all kinds of suggestions… if you go 1.4 miles past the campground, you’ll get to the beach. There’s a gate and you can walk past it and you’ll see a little trail. That same road is a 9 mile scenic loop and a beautiful drive (I think it’s called Drury Scenic Parkway but don’t quote me on that) There’s a great little hike at the top of that ridge called Flint Ridge and there you’ll find just as big redwoods as you would in the NP, but not a soul around. Prairie State Park has an elk viewing area, we saw elk on the beaches there! The few downfalls were minor (unless you are working full time). there isn’t much around and the closest town is crescent city which has daily road closures for hours at a time, so get your groceries ahead and plan accordingly, but that’s easy enough. And lastly, the wifi was been extremely hit or miss and so has the cell service. We have Verizon mobile router with booster and although we had 1-2 bars of LTE, it was enough to check emails but not enough to hold webinars and Zoom meetings. The campground sits in a valley and the signal strength just is not great no matter what you do. And while they had wifi, it wasn’t definitely not great. In our 6 months of full time living, it was probably one of the worst because it was wildly inconsistent. We would have 40 mba of download speed one minute and then very next minute, 1mgb. Then the next minute, it would disconnect. Then you’d reconnect and be back to 5mbs. Then back to 1. Then it’d disconnect again. It was a struggle for 5 days to get work done. The cell service was great at the end of the road, so we ended up having To sit in our car and host Zoom meetings to ensure we weren’t disconnected. But, we learned that they should be upgrading their wifi in the near future. So if you rely on good connectivity to work, give them a call and see if it’s been upgraded yet! Overall, I would still have to give it 5 stars!

Nestled perfectly between the redwoods & Klamath River, Kamp Klamath is just wonderful. Lots of trails, access to fishing, the Redwood National Park, Pacific Ocean, just marvelous! New owners are updating the utilities, dressing up the existing sites and adding a new laundry room. Garden, games, play ground, great for young & old & young at heart. This camp also accommodates tents as well as all classes of RV's & TT's. Far enough off of US101 to not hear any road noise but convenient and easy to find from the exit. This is our second visit and won't be our last, can't wait to see the place again with all the new improvements.

Close to the mouth of the Klamath River and the Pacific. Did not use the restrooms. They were building a laundry facility while we were there. The one road in was rough and in need of resurfacing. We would absolutely stay here again.

Easy trail to the Klamath River and the ocean at the end of the road. RV sites are pretty close together but are well maintained with manicured grass, flowers, and trees. The hookups were all located at the rear of the site and well maintained. Lots of camp staff busy working to maintain the grounds and they were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

Easy access to US 101 to explore the multitude of hiking trails and drives throughout the redwood forest. When we arrived we were quickly checked in and escorted to our site. The site was a level dirt site with lots of room for our slides and some shade from trees. The staff of work-kampers was the best we have experienced anywhere. And there were more staff than we have seen in many larger parks. Check out the made to order breakfast burritos, fresh homemade muffins and if you are there on a Saturday night, check out the all you can eat Salmon and Chicken Barbecue. The WiFi isn't great, speeds are throttled because it is Satellite based and limited bandwidth. Realize that this is a rural area in the middle of a Native American area and thus somewhat rustic. Bring your own WiFi hotspot and you will be fine. (Although the sprint connection leaves a lot to be desired, Verizon and T-Mobile work fine without a booster.) A big shout out to the folks working there. They made our visit memorable.

Most everything the previous poster said was spot on.Almost all of those ancient rigs are owned by work-campers (from what we could tell) whom were all very friendly and looking to help. For most of our stay I think we were the only paying visitor. They were busy getting ready for the season, so those golf carts were noisy during the day, but at night it is one of the most quiet places I have ever been.We have a 35ft fifth wheel and it was a tight fit. Our pinbox was basically to the road and our rear bumper was at the fence at the back of the site. We parked our truck almost completely in the road, not sure how that would be in the busy season though. The first night there we discovered the bad wifi (satellite based) and we had almost zero cell signal, totally unuseable. I even told the host we would be checking out the next day as the internet was unuseable for us (even with the cell on the booster). Miraculously the next morning I went to check my email and the cell was better and was useable. Mind you not good enough to stream video, but more then useable for email and web based work. Enough so that we stayed for a total of 9 days. They honored our PassPort America card for the entire 9 days. At only $18.75 a night for full hook ups it wasn't bad at all, though I would have a hard time paying full price $37.50 a night for the spot.If you drive down to the end of the road (do it in your TOAD or your TV, DO NOT go further then this RV park with a trailer or MH) you come to the ocean which is rather nice.I gave it the high rating because of the lack of people while we were there, the friendly staff and the price.[Actual stay was 02/18/16]

Also we passed a much nicer location just 1/2 mi before that was right on the river and had more RVs that move (i.e. not full of full time residents). We arrived and without a reservation got a nice spot right away. Check in was a breeze. We are a 30' fifth wheel. I'd say we just fit. We had to disconnect the truck. The site was picturesque but not on the river. Not much to do. There was a small play area for the kids behind the office (slide, swing, teatherball). The good:1. Helpful friendly staff2. 30A/50A service and septic easy to connect to3. Surrounded by trees4. Laundry onsite, in a shed by the office5. Free WiFi (see the bad where it's too slow to use)The not so good:1. Noisy carts. The staff use ancient gas carts that are so loud it's comical and out of place in a quiet woodsy place like that. Horrendous racket as the thing comes, then goes by leaves you wondering what are they thinking.2. Many very long term and that thing is never moving again rigs. Almost like a trailer park with some open spaces for us stay for a night folks. 3. WiFi was so slow you could barely check eMail on it. They did say it was slow and only good for eMail on checking in. They are right. I gather it's a satellite based Internet but obviously someone is hogging most all the bandwidth as it was about useless and we were likely the only non residents there (quite a few open spaces May 3rd)Overall it was a good nights rest and I would recommend it for anyone not interested in WiFi and just needs a place to park and feel safe. Noise is a problem but I'll take some noisy carts over feeling unsafe. It's a bit of a drive to get in there and if you have a large or long rig I would not recommend it. Just very simple, quaint little spot for hanging your hat for a night. Maybe more as it looked like during the season they have activities going on. Oh, also, no cellular at all. But at night very quiet and peaceful.
