Because we were at Camp Kernville off season (early January) there were very few other campers here. It was quiet! Our dogs were welcome. We found a nearby area where the dogs could run free for great exercise. One had to be careful to honor the “No Trespassing” signs. The river was lovely and much appreciated! The hiking trails were a drive away although a print out described how to reach them. If you have kids or love them all, you can likely enjoy it here during the high season but beware....some sites are close together and the water attraction and noise associated with the beach activities will definitely play a part. I was surprised that my sewer hose did not fit into the sewer receptacle. We taped our sewer hose on so are getting by. There is a dump site here. We appreciated the good fire pit. Wood can be purchased for $7.50 per bundle. I’ll visit here again during off season. Verizon is working well at site 58.
