We stayed here because we needed to have some work done on our truck and this was convenient but it is not quiet. Most residents are permanent and quiet but it’s the squealing train tracks that make this place unlivable. There must be a pretty significant curve so the trains hit the brakes and every single car sings it’s own song that makes it impossible to sleep or have a conversation. They are inconsistent in times so you don’t know when they will go through. One night there were two trains, one at 1:00 am and another at 3:00 am and the night after none until 7:30am. But it’s cheap at $27 a night and it’s a straight shot into Charleston plus you can swim in the river. It has hot showers, flush toilets, electric and water and gravel sites that we needed to use blocks to level. It has a steep gravel driveway with one giant water bar that we will have to put our truck in 4wd to get out.
