The receipt in my email clearly states that the reservation process isn’t a guarantee of a site until you hear from the RV Park, which I never did. I sent 3 email requests, two texts, two voice mails, and even one nice greeting card, trying to get a confirmation, but received nothing. We all proceeded to the park with fingers crossed and indeed they did have two sites for us. We arrived after hours and a map, with our sites circled, was taped to the store/desk door.I had requested two neighboring premium sites preferably with shade and what we got was one in partial shade with some grass, the other in complete sun on powdery dirt squeezed in next to another camper. Frustrating especially when there were other empty sites while we were there. We were able to move the one trailer in the sun/dirt to another better site crosswise to the shaded trailer on day two, thankfully. The hookups were fine, we did get to connect to WiFi, although strength was sporadic, and the scenery was lovely. The bathrooms were older, but pretty clean, but water pressure was really poor in the showers. The very best parts of the campground are the absolute quiet at night, blissful, and on a clear night the stargazing is amazing! We walked out to a clear spot near the pond and could easily view the Milky Way, the Neowise Comet, satellites, and some shooting stars - made me so happy!!All in all, we would return if in the area as there are quite a few things to do in the area of Burney and Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Close to Mt Lassen, Burney Falls and other parks, The resort is rustic , clean, quiet, accommodating, it sits in a raised grove of trees surrounded by lush pastures. Gravel access road is a little dusty but smooth.

  • It's OK but not what I expected

The campground is clean enough but oddly put together. It is family run which we like and the people were friendly. Location for Lassen National Park and Burney is great! We were in one of their partial hookup sites which were set up so that you are door to door with your neighbor..... awkward! They only had the hookup posts every two sites which meant sharing with a neighbor which meant you were facing your other neighbors. The sites were very close together and the space was not clearly defined which meant some people had way more room than others (because they were there first and simply set their stuff up in what I would have assumed was our site.) Turns out our neighbor was using the fire pit meant for our site- so we ended up with no pit.The WiFi was very weak at our site and there was zero Verizon cell service here.We liked that the sites were on grass and that there were cows and goats nearby, and that it was family run and quiet- but hated the site setup. We really feel with some work this could be a way better campground. More defined spaces are necessary!

The campground staff was very friendly and willing to let us have packages shipped there. The facilities were okay though there was some problem with the lights that required us to bring our lanterns in order to have light to shower by. There was an area for kids to play including a basketball hoop and tether ball. The campground is situated far enough off the main road which made for nice quiet nights.

  • A great old park, and a really nice place to stay.

It's located for easy driving to Lassen National Park and Burney Falls. We're looking forward to staying here again this summer.
