Don’t let their slick website fool you; this campground caters to permanent and seasonal residents. We made a last minute reservation due to forest service campgrounds being closed early due to the fires. We were assured they had plenty of sites and staying four nights would be no problem. When we arrived, there was no office but the owner greeted us and directed us to a campsite. Paying for our stay consisted of him writing my credit card information in a notebook. After 3 nights stay, we were informed that we would have to move to another site because they had missed the fact that our site and the one next to it were reserved by two parties traveling together across the country. Although it was a hassle, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and moved to another site. The parties that were “traveling together” arrived six hours apart; we suspect they were repeat seasonal customers. No compensation was offered for our trouble.
