Stopped for one night passing through. Previous post said $35 per night, and it would be a more appropriate price for this place. I’m sure it was nice at one time, lots of old trees. But it’s not worth $57 per night.

  • Fantastic site - redwoods and swimming

Got really lucky and got a walk up spot yesterday - all 3 campgrounds are surrounded by old growth redwoods - big sites, showers, and an amazing swimming hole. Such a fantastic spot

Full hookup with the Passport America discount was $20.40. It’s a nice quiet little park behind a gas station and across from the grandfather tree and one log dispensary. We were heading to Humboldt State Park for the next few nights, so it made for a nice stopover to dump and refill tanks. My main reason for feeling a bit frustrated with the experience, was that they charged you by the gig for WiFi. Normally not a huge deal, but Verizon and ATT were nonexistent. Felt a bit like they were gouging people who needed to work or access emails, etc...All in all in a good little spot but a bit frustrating.

We pulled in, unsure if we would move to the state park instead. Employee came out to tell us $17.50 for night with internet, electricity, etc. Was nice to be hooked up for the night. Laundry didn't work.

Our AT&T cell phones had no bars, and the wifi was useless. The campground does not supply internet. The connection is supplied by a 3rd party. It was easy enough to connect to and pay for, but then it was worse than some of the old dialup modem connections from 20 years ago. Oh well, disconnecting is good sometimes.

  • Wish we had longer

The couple running he park are some of the nicest people I have met and are so helpful. They will give you the inside scoop from what to go see to where can you get the best burger. The park is clean and rustic and I would stay here again. In fact I think we just might do that on our way back south!
