Beautifully kept grounds and a great pool and snack bar. There is a golf course but we don’t golf so I can’t say how that is. Laundry room is very clean with quite a few machines. It’s about an hour and forty five minutes to San Diego. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Way too expensive for the area

When my wife went to pay they up sold her to a weekly stay for $350 for the 6 days we needed. When I went to the office to try to straighten out the confusion they said they could not make any adjustments because we have already paid.Horrible customer service, pushy front desk, very little care to create repeat customers. Even when I told them that we were considering places to stay for the entire winter they were still unwilling to adjust our stay.I guess because it is somewhere in CATAX they think they are worth more than they really are.

  • A nice campground but not great for short stays

It's not bad for an RV park. The sites have hedge rows separating them which gives you a tiny bit more privacy. The pool area is great. The pool is heated, and there is also a great hot tub. The sites have hedge rows separating them which gives you a tiny bit more privacy. The pool area is great. The pool is heated, and there is also a great hot tub. They have an outdoor bar and a little snack place. Some nights, they served meals. The food was good. They also have a stage and they had music a couple nights we were there. The crowd here is pretty lively, especially considering it's 55+. Seemed like a lot of people were out socializing and dancing every day. It's not ideal for short stays, though. The sites are pretty narrow, so backing in can be a challenge. We spent almost 30 min trying to maneuver in our first time staying here. Not really what you want for a short stay. Our second time, we asked for a wider site, and we did get one. It wasn't much wider, but we parked far more easily. If you're staying for a long time, it doesn't really matter. If you're looking for a one-night stop, it's annoying. Additionally, their laundry facilities require you to buy a $5 card to use them. Not bad if you're there all season. Terrible if you're only doing a few loads. They are 55+, and they're pretty strict about it. We're under 55 and did stay, but only because we were with a large group, and they still gave us a hard time about it. If you're under 55, I recommend looking elsewhere. The rate is a little steep, but they do take Passport America, and that brings it down to a much more reasonable price.

Showed up after office hours (6:30 pm) after driving all day to get through Mexico and back stateside. Had a very kind security guard (Jerry) show us to a spot after a bit of confusion and driving around in the dark. He took cell phone pictures of my ID and credit card for payment in the morning (seemed a litttttle sketchy but whatever). We set up on a very bland gravel pad amongst monstrous RV’s and pre-fab homes. All was well. Side note - laundry cards must be purchased just to do laundry ($5 non-returnable) and the least you can load on them is ($10). Pretty big rip off. The next morning we had a “maintenance and security” worker (Rick) pound as hard as he could on our door to get our attention. He immediately questioned if we had paid and who the hell let us in and assumed that we snuck in. Apparently they don’t allow pop up trailers or truck campers (it’s too much of an eye sore for the rich white people around). He continued to ridicule us until I stepped outside and explained the situation in full. We argued more while his wife continuously tried to apologize for him. I eventually walked away to talk with management and settle everything with the office. They were super helpful and suggested I fill out a comment card about Rick (I get the feeling everyone there hates him). Overall - only a good place if staying looooong term and want to spend your time in a white washed, 60+ community that’s severely overpriced. Also, extremely loud barking dogs in the area and military planes and helicopters all morning. Geez we got bamboozled by this place.

  • Perfect one night stop especially with Passport America!

Since we had Passport America, we chose a pull-thru site, back-ins were $25 a night. Sites are a little too short to leave your tow on with a 40' motorhome. We only had two other units in the entire row and faced a very nice pond full of ducks. This is mainly a long term park with many amenities and activities. Park is well maintained. WiFi is now free through Tengonet. We had military plane and helicopter noise in the afternoon and early evening but none at night. We would stay here again.
