I did see some concrete sites, too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick; got a map and was on my way. The grounds were kept clean. Our site had a couple deeper holes in the dirt, which were a little inconvenient, and there was a little issue with some tree irrigation continuously running that made the area muddy. The staff turned the water off when I brought it to their attention. There was a playground for the little kids, a rec area for the big "kids", and river access. There were a lot of people walking dogs and kids riding bikes on the roads. The river access went to a small beach area; it was very quiet and only a couple other people there. The beach and the playground were the best part for us with little kids. This RV park seemed like more of a launchpad for river activities like kayaking, rafting, tubing, rather than a hang-out by the river environment. People were driving off in trucks with their water toys all loaded up. There were no issues with the hookups. The wi-fi was undependable and worked okay on occasion.

Well forested campground with plenty of personal space (in premium spots only - normal spots seem to have about half the personal space). Very dog friendly with a large, well maintained and fenced in dog park. Beautiful creek/river runs along the full side of the RV park and can be easily accessed from nearly all adjacent parking spots. Nearby towns of Graengle and Portola are fantastic - adorable small towns with historic tourist focused shops and restaurants. There are tons of lakes nearby, many with waterfalls and they only require a short, relatively easy hike too. Staff is very friendly here and sites are well maintained, but it never felt overbearing or nosy, as is so often the case as most well maintained RV parks. Even the free wifi is solidly useable for all but streaming. We've stayed at dozens of RV parks across the country, and this spot is absolutely in our top 5 all time!

Very clean and sites have a good amount of space between them. River runs along one edge of the park with good swimming and rafting. Only a few minutes drive to Graeagle and great hiking at the Lakes Basin area, and Plumas Eureka State Park. We paid $50 a night with a 10% discount (AAA, AARP, Good Sams and Military). There is a $2 per night additional charge for pets. It was quite noisy on the weekend when the Park was full, but that is usual anywhere during high summer. A word of warning that they book up a year in advance for the best spots on the river in July and August. Another note - no tents allowed anywhere in the park.

  • We LOVED this incredible campground - just 5 minutes from Graeagle, CA

The entire property is kept immaculately clean and laid out to walk and enjoy. There is access to the river from several locations, a dog park and a short walk to the town of Clio's for some coffee or pizza. We found the staff to be friendly in both the office and around the park. The electricity was clean (I use a Progressive Industries Surge Protector / Monitor) during the entire stay. There is water/sewer and cable hook ups. Cable is not high definition. There is reasonably fast free WiFi available at most sites.
