This is an awesome little place, the owner came out as soon as we pulled up and piloted up to our spot with his golf cart. He even helped up maneuver into our spot and told us just hook up and settled in before checking in.

We made our reservations 4 hours in advanced. Super nice management. He took us to our spot and said get set up then come to the office, which is a cute little trailer. Nice little place. All the nice amenities.

How could this possibly have positive reviews?! It is basically a junk yard on the side of the freeway with speeding cars, barking dogs and sewage smell. We only stayed because it was late and they had WiFi. But, soon discovered the WiFi wasn’t reliable. What a joke. Would have been better off at a truck stop!

About a mile off the freeway you’ll find this quaint RV park with full hook-ups and decent bath house. Hot and windy day and night meant we did not want to boondock so this place was fine. Easy pull through site was level. Wi-fi was not strong enough for streaming but I got 3 bars of Verizon in my phone

  • Good old fashioned campground except with modern hook ups.

Nice owners, clean facilities. Old fashioned but well maintained. We stop every year for a few days to "recharge our batteries" both mental and electrical. Nearby are great doughnuts, Peggy Sue's famous diner and the Calico ghost town and mine. There is a railroad museum nearby also. Great country style mechanic across the street. Located just off 15 on a 2 lane road. You can hear the trains in the distance and an occasional afternoon sonic boom. All you could ask for. Sites vary from concrete to gravel. Half of the sites are permanent and half transient.

This one is a gem! Yes, the campground is small and the campsites are small. It is in an area that's a bit out of town. But, they have full hook-ups, 50 amp, trash and recycling (!!) bins everywhere, a small laundry and bathhouse, and free wifi. The two young men that checked us in were extremely helpful and kind. They brought us to our site and helped us get lined up. The place is super clean and well kept. It has a bit of an eclectic flair with their time machine and retro RV office. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but, we have found that throughout California.

That's a new one. The owner guided us to our site which involved circling the entire campground which is small but there are tight areas for big rigs. We barely fit in the site with our tow vehicle and were worried it might be damaged by someone using the interior road behind us. I began getting the inside of the MH ready while my spouse hooked up the utilities. I noticed we had no electricity so I brought it to his attention. Our surge protection was cutting the power. The owner tried to help to no avail. We verified quiet hours, and I started the generator so we had power. It was very cold, and the temperature inside was also cold. My spouse remained outside trying to get the electric to work. The owner happened by and said that we couldn't run the generator, that they never allow them. It wasn't crowded at the park so it would have been nice if he had made an exception at least for a little while. We were convinced we would be spending the night at a truck stop when my spouse finally got the electric to work. And it worked fine until the morning when it conked out again. FYI – the next RV park we stayed in the utilities worked fine. Huh. They only take cash or check. We would not stay again.

Really nice people who deserve your business, despite the limitations of being an unimpressive park in the middle of nowhere.

Surprisingly, there IS shade! We had shade on both sides of our RV which was completely unexpected for this part of the country. It was quite nice.It appeared to have a laundry room, though we did not use it. The park was well maintained, and appeared clean (though, you know, on sand). We aim to walk about a mile a day (our dog tends to make this happen), so it's worth nothing there isn't anywhere to really walk other than in small loops around the park. For an overnight, it was perfect. This was a very peaceful stop, with very friendly management. If we're in the area we're happy to spend the night there again. Quick Tip: This park does not take credit cards, so be sure to have cash on hand! Also, the sign at the front noted 36 feet as the maximum rig length.
