You would have to have a whitenoise machine, ear plugs, and/or a fan running to even start to get some peace and quiet. For us it was just a 1 night stop over and it was fine (We were road weary tired). There are many huge RV's here full term or at least weekly. Nice staff, clean showers. Seemed like a Park for senior citizens. We picked a dozen delicious navel oranges.

Orange Grove RV Park seemed like the best choice, and maybe it was, but wow, there was a lot of noise! The people at the front were nice enough, and made an adjustment when I asked for my Good Sam discount to be applied. The place seemed fairly well maintained, although I did not use any of the bathroom facilities and wasn’t about to step into the clubhouse during COVID. Also, in our area of the park, there were tons of barking dogs. I don’t understand this. No one wants to hear your dogs barking. Anyway, the worst part was the street noise and the TRAINS. Yikes! Loud trucks went by the whole time we were there. I think all of Bakersfield is plagued with train noise. All RV parks in the area had complaints about trains, so it’s probably hard to escape in the area, but MAN they were loud. We didn’t hear any until later in the evening when we were going to bed. Fun, right? We had our AC on, a noise machine and a fan PLUS earplugs and still heard them. So anyone who says the trains weren’t that bad needs to get their hearing checked! Thank goodness they didn’t wake the kids. We stayed one night and stayed hitched the whole time. We made an early departure the next morning. Honestly I don’t think it was worth the money but as I said it was a last minute decision to switch our itinerary and we didn’t have a lot of options. I certainly wouldn’t consider this a “destination” park and definitely not a resort, but to each their own!

Yesterday was our fourth stay at this park in the last couple of years, when we stayed there on our way back from Zion NP. It has become our favorite overnight RV park. It happens to be on the way to Zion NP, Joshua Tree NP, and Death Valley NP. They have 65 feet and 90 feet sites. The sites are fairly large and have full hookups. It is an orange grove converted into an RV park, all sites have a couple of orange trees, and you can pick oranges if you happen to be there in the right season. The office is very organized. We have mostly reached here late in the evening. The office has envelopes on the board marked with site numbers that are available with information with the restroom codes and wifi passwords in them. The restrooms are very well maintained. There is also propane available onsite. The entry and exit are extensive and convenient with well-marked lanes.

There is a small pool and lodge. WiFi was free. There is not much of a sound barrier so you hear the highway and trains night and day :)

We’ve stayed here so many times over the years, it’s hard for me to say anything new. Given it’s location this is hardly going to be called a scenic park, but they’ve done a great job with what the climate allows. Spacious level sites. We left our 35’ fiver with 3 slides hooked on our F350. Great customer service at check in.

All site are pull through and spaced between orange trees which was the appeal for us to stay. Our price reflects a week stay. Not sure if I'd stay longer than that. Most amenities were closed - we stayed during COVID. Propane is on site which is GREAT! Laundry was great too - they have bluetooth washer and dryers. You download an app, load money on it and pay via bluetooth. They also take quarters but if you're like me and constantly needing quarters, this bluetooth stuff was such a time saver. The office doesn't offer quarters anymore. We arrived after hours and it was easy enough to find our site. The night hosts did ask Blake if he was going to leave the truck in the middle of the road (he was unhitching...) So there's that... Cell signal was really good. I didn't get the download and upload numbers for this park but they were good. Location was kind of lousy. Its right off HWY 58 which is nice BUT the closest Walmart is in the ghetto.. You have to travel about 20 mins or so to get to places that are nice. We went across town to Sprouts for groceries. Overall, I don't think we'd stay here unless its as a quick stopover for a night. Your experience may be better than ours. I liked the convenience of propane on site and bluetooth laundry. Those were my highlights LOL

Some water pooling around pedestal after recent rains. AT&T cell was excellent, Verizon decent.

Paved streets make for easy access to your large pull through lot but everywhere else is filled with gravel with lots of dirt and dust. Can't help but bring dirt and pebbles into your coach. Zero grass! Most importantly, trains go by every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day blasting their horns. Add to that the highway traffic noise and it makes for a difficult nights sleep. Honestly, I liked the park visually, with all the right modern amenities but the trains drove us crazy. Give it a try as long as you are aware of the issues. Priced at $45 with Good Sam's Discount. My computer was dead so we needed a landing spot close to civilization before heading to Death Valley. Bakersfield had a Best Buy, Costco and several computer repair businesses. While there are campgrounds closer to the city, Orange Grove RV Park was close enough and we really enjoyed our stay here. Big props for the decent wifi as I ended up needing to set up a new computer including downloading updates and files. The sites are huge pull-throughs, each with a picnic table and orange trees. Guests are welcome to pick fruit in season. During our stay the trees were in bloom and the whole park smelled heavenly. The park has a section for monthly rentals and caters to the snowbird crowd. By mid-April much of the park was empty. They offer plenty of amenities – a store, clubroom, BBQ pavilion, activities, a fenced doggie area and an off-leash dog park. I was impressed with the DIY RV/car wash area (no extra charge!) and multiple restroom/shower/laundry areas. Everything was impeccably clean and working!! There’s a propane filling station too. There is some road noise and the nearby train can be loud, especially in the evening. Make the short walk to the California Fruit Depot where you can sample dozens of fruits, nuts, candies and snag a date shake. Yep, that a thing here. ???? We had 2 bars of Verizon 4G unboosted, but never needed it as the wifi was excellent.

I'd forgotten just how spacious the sites are & how beautiful of a park (considering its California desert location) it is. Bakersfield has a couple of pretty nice parks. We often prefer to stay in town and this park is a little ways out. This trip I wanted to be able to leave the dinghy hooked up (which can be a problem at the in town parks we use) and be able to be as close to the Tehachapi summit as possible due to the prediction of strong winds. Our site was everything I needed. Very friendly young lady checked us in.

We happened to be there when the oranges were ripe so we took advantage of the luscious gems. The staff was very nice although check-in was a bit slow. Interior roads are easy to navigate. Our site was long and level consisting of fine gravel. Yes, you do track it inside your rig so shoes off is a good motto. There is some separation between sites due to the placement of the orange trees. The WII FI worked off and on, getting very slow at times. Directv satellite worked fine. Verizon had 4g and 2 bars. There is a pool table on the upper level of the main office which we enjoyed. The main ding is the NOISE. The park is right off CA 99/58 and Edison road so there is near constant road noise. To add more entertainment, there are nearby trains that sound like they are running right through the park. Seriously, it was hard to get a good nights sleep. The other detraction is not their fault as it exists outside the park, but it is unsettling – trash, trash and more trash. We have never been in such a dirty town. We counted 7 mattresses thrown on the side of the road in a 2-mile distance in addition to various and sundry other items tossed aside. Bakersfield needs to clean up in a bad way! We loved the RV park but the noise level was too much for our tender ears. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

There are very nice restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. The office offers free coffee and donuts in the morning. WiFi is pretty good throughout the park. Propane and a dump station are available. Although there is some distant train and freeway noise, it's by no means a deal breaker for us. We usually opt to take a water and electric site to save a few bucks and dump our holding tanks on the way out.

I asked the nice lady at the front desk how busy it was this time of year. Her answer? "This is a winter park."So sadly I haven't had much time outside to appreciate what seems like a very nice park. What I can say is that the laundry and showers are clean. The WiFi is strong, and they have a pool. That plus full hook-ups for under $40 is a win in my book.I would have appreciated a nicer play area. The small fenced in dirt lot has a few toys for the under-5 set, but school-age children won't find much appeal. I suppose they will be holed up in the coach using the A/C and the WiFi :)

The staff was very helpful and even gave us some coffee when we realized we were a bit short. They also have every amenity you can imagine - full hookups, clubhouse, laundry, workout room, etc. They are also set amid an orange grove and every spot has a tree, but the oranges weren't in season so couldn't be picked. All spots were extremely level and had pull throughs making it very easy to navigate. My biggest complaint was the noise from traffic, trains that ran all night as well as a squeaky oil derrick that runs 24/7. It was so loud I had to turn on my sleep machine to help drown it out. We would only stay here again if other places were full.
