The lady in the registration office was extremely friendly as was the gentleman that provided an escort to our campsite, everyone here was friendly. The campsite was incredibly quiet/peaceful. Lots of things to do for the kids (pool, horseshoes, basketball, tetherball, volleyball, catching lizards, frogs, etc.) The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars was because the resort ran out of water Sunday morning. I spoke to the office and they said it would take several hours because someone left water running all night and drained their holding tanks. In my opinion they should have larger storage tanks, but I'm also the guest that experienced water loss. All the spots have full water, sewer and 50Amp hookups. If you need an adapter, they loan them out in the office for free. We would stay here again, but when it's a little more cooler and not 100 degrees.

It’s our fault for not doing our homework and agreeing to pay premium for little. Besides Unlevel sites, there was trash in the fire pit and around the campsite, the facilities are old and bathroom doors don’t lock. The free WiFi says it’s bad but at the rate you should have your own server. Check prices before booking. It’s just not worth it. If you’re gonna charge the top end rate you should deliver.

There was apparently a birthday celebration that weekend and no one warned us. Quiet hours as published in their literature were not observed. We called the after hours number and the woman was a bit dismissive of our noise complaint. The noise in this park is the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. If you do stay here, avoid the tenting areas. It's party central. If you are looking for peace and quiet this may not be your park. If you like a park with a social and party atmosphere then you will enjoy it.

Chose a site closest to the playground for our "practically" 8 year old grandson (this trip was his early birthday present). We had the only paved pad in the entire park (I think we got the handicap site)! Rest of sites were gravel, hence the 4 star rating out of 5 (for $60/night...which was AFTER our Good Sam discount...would expect all sites to be paved). Fabulous location to several historic gold rush towns (Murphy's, Columbia State Park, Jamestown) and Railtown 1897 State Historic Park, which is where we took our grandson one morning to ride the steam-powered train! Park WIFI worked pretty well most of the time.Although the playground was designed for smaller kids, all the kids in the campground enjoyed it along with the pool (even though water was chilly), basketball court, and horseshoe pits. Also an easy and safe park for kids to ride their bikes. Staff was very friendly, including allowing us a late check-out on Monday. Sites are the typical close-together park sites although a few have more privacy than others. Being a holiday weekend, there were lots of families and dogs (our neighbor's dog barked A LOT!) so it was a bit noisy where we were parked. This campground has tent sites on the perimeter and is currently expanding to include long-term sites. Our site was located in the area behind the office, away from the road (hwy 49) although the road quiets down at night. Campground was clean, trash picked up regularly, and has showers and restrooms, although we didn't check out either.
