He took me to my site which was by the wall where it was not crowded or noisy. Also easy access to the street where I could walk my dog as you’re not allowed to walk them in the park. The neighborhood was quiet and I felt safe. No wifi to speak of but I was fine with that.

My biggest complaint is the poor WiFi, but that seems to be the norm around here? They specifically tell you at registration and note on the park map not to stream or download anything via WiFi. I had decent T-Mobile and Verizon cell service here most of the time, so was able to access the internet through my own hotspots. They have on-site laundry which I used and the machines work well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park had a few social events throughout the week.

After two weeks on the road, with the last week boondocking on BLM land south of Quartzsite, we needed full hookups, close to show grounds, and with a good clean laundry room. Big RV Show and Gem n Rock Show were going on, but Covid had stopped Canadian RVers and reduced crowds overall.

Across the street there is a great bakery/coffee shop and an excellent rib place that close for the season at the end of February, which is typical all over town. Anyway, the RV Park is very clean and the managers/staff are helpful and polite. The place is clean and the other guests seem very friendly. This was our first trip to Quartzsite and if we ever come back we will likely stay here again. They parked us near the hi way in a pull through site, so we didn’t have to unhook our tow dolly. There was quite a bit of road noise but it wasn’t bad during the night. The sites away from the hi way would probably be much quieter. The internet was sketchy but our Verizon cell service worked fine. The $20 rate for full hookups was sweet.

We paid 30, however the rates and availability change rapidly for RTR. Nice bathrooms and Laundry area, the host was very welcoming as well. Good Verizon, no TV channels on the antenna, but good local radio.

We had several empty sites around us so it didn't feel crowded.About 25% seasonal/monthly and the rest appeared transient. You are about 3 blocks from I-10 so some road noise but not enough to keep you awake or bother your sleep.Internet was very slow, but we arrived on a rainy day so everyone was probably sitting inside surfing while waiting. Improved somewhat the next day.For the price and location it was well worth spending a couple of nights to check out the town and get caught up on a few chores.

I believe the laundry was around $1.50 for the wash and $1.00 to dry, both worked well. The park was a short walk to the post office and roadrunner grocery store. I was also surprised at how much good produce the grocery store had for such a small town. Overall, this was a great stay with full hookups close to the Gem Show and not too far from hiking at Kofa Wildlife Refuge. Verizon worked great for video conferencing and streaming.

We had a great experience right from the moment we pulled in and a friendly staffer got us registered and showed us to our site. This park is not a fancy "resort" with all sorts of amenities, but it's exceptionally clean, well maintained and most importantly, friendly and welcoming to its guests. We enjoyed talking to the folks in the office about what to see and do in the area. It's obvious that they know the area well and take pride in their RV park. One night we joined fellow RVers at the evening campfire circle which was fun. We intended to stay just two nights, but added a third because the rate was so reasonable and we were having such a good time. We then went off boondocking for a couple of nights. On our way back through Quartzsite we were going to stop at the RV Pit Stop to top off our fresh water and dump our holding tanks. We discovered that it would cost us more to do that than to just go back to Shady Lane for another night, so we did!Only negative I can think of is that at times the WiFi got very slow, but I've come to expect that at most RV parks and try to schedule my internet use for off peak times of the day.
