We stayed in spot 135 with our 42 ft 5th wheel. This spot was absolutely awesome. Easy in and relatively easy out. They take cash only and had full hookups. There are some spots near the road which would be better for smaller RVs but they would be a bit noisier due to the road noise. They have no other facilities (laundry, bathrooms, etc) and no WiFi. We dealt with “Dee” and she was easy to work with and we had no issues. Beyond being quiet the other nice factor was it was a relatively close walk to the town square.

Called early morning for availability, arrived mid-afternoon. We are both 55+. All sites are FHU. Our site was #3 a pull thru on the main entrance street in to the park. This park has about 150 mostly permanent sites with a creek running through it and about 18 sites scattered around the park for transient travelers. Payment policy is cash only. Dee checked us in and guided us to our spot. We paid for 2 nights at a time because we were unsure on our length of stay. Current policy is after 6 nights the 7th is free. Mature trees, lots of pines (wonderful smell) gave it a neighborhood feel good bird watching. A band of native javalinas roamed around the park a few days. We liked this more than the other RV parks outside of town that are expensive parking lots. 15 minute walk downtown to the historic square, Whiskey Row and good restaurants. We found a rake behind the office and cleaned up the sticks and pine needles around our site; none of the electric hookups [20a-30a-50a] had a breaker thus the lower scores for cleanliness and quality. Lots of shopping choices in town with major big box stores and 2 natural food stores. Affinity RV north of downtown has propane for $1.80/gal. and free dump & water if you are just passing through the area.
Quiet 55+ park close to downtown.

The woman who answered the phone made it clear this was a park for people age 55 and older. I got the feeling they don’t need the business but would take us if we were over 55 and wouldn’t bother the other residents. We had been at White Spar campground (which is nice and very close to town) but had to leave because they were full. We had the choice of a site in the front of the park near the street or a back in near the office. We chose to be away from the street and were in a back in between a mobile home and a permanent resident 5th wheel. The park was quiet and the neighbors were very friendly. This park is in a great location near downtown Prescott. Once you get passed the unfriendly woman who answers the phone and checks you in it’s a nice place to stay. We stayed here 3 weeks ago and were in site 31b or 33b (I didn’t write it down). They don’t have laundry or bath/shower facilities or I would have given it 5 stars.
I'm just too young to be of any use...

There are plenty of trees, it’s a quiet little place, and the office is an incredibly cute faux rendition of an old western mining town. The rates are cheap and the old Irish man who owns the place is very welcoming and jovial. There ends the appeal of this park for anyone who isn’t on their deathbed. It is one of Arizona’s infamous 55+ parks, though the website will tell you differently. While the site clearly states that anyone wishing to live in the park full-time (and these are people who live in “trailers” so large they compete with most houses in more populated states) must be 55 years or more ancient, it also plainly explains that this age restriction does not apply to nightly or weekly RVers. We were coming from another RV park just outside of town early in the morning, but had to make a quick stop at the local grocery store first. I called the office at Pine Lawn Ranch and mentioned we were coming, asking if they had space for us. We were assured that their was plenty of space and a reservation would not be necessary. So imagine my surprise when we showed up and the woman told us their was no room at the inn, so to speak.I informed her that we called ahead only a few hours ago and were told we could get a spot for a week, to which we exchanged several long, awkward moments of silence, until finally she gave in and said we could stay. I guess a spot suddenly opened up while we were waiting. We paid the fee and were given the last overnighter spot in the park, which was literally 2 inches wider than our unit. It took us around 35 minutes to somehow wedge ourselves into the 45 degree spot between some beautiful trees. The spot itself was gorgeous, with plenty of shade from the beating Southwestern sun, and an ample little cement porch surrounded by a low stone fence, but an RV spot is pushing it. The spot is likely better suited for a camper van at best. The owner’s wife, the dodgy woman who admitted us in the first place, so sweet of her, kindly informed us that children are not allowed to leave our spot, and certainly no bicycle riding was permitted in the park. This last bit was particularly interesting as two days later the owner’s own grandchildren were riding their bikes around the park, largely unsupervised. The park has no bathrooms or showers, so bring your own bathtub. There is no WiFi access either. All in all, the location is the prime benefit of this park, and if you’re older than 55 or have no children, it’s a great way to go. But if you prefer to not feel like your parents are always looking over your shoulder, you may want to try out one of the parks outside of town.
