Decent place right by Lake Powell & Horseshoe Bend. Office staff friendly, they were working through some computer & camper issues at our check in. I'd stay again if in the area.

We stayed here a few days in March 2022. Cell service was a little spotty at times despite 3-4 bars but campground wifi was rather good. Seems like we paid $45 per night.Good location for checking out the surrounding area.

The start line was about a half mile from our campsite, which was wonderful, but I would stay here again for this race even if it weren't so convenient. Our arrival: Very easy. The person who checked us in at the front desk was very friendly. Our site was a back-in but we were able to pull through as there was no one in the other site next to us. Site was perfectly flat, didn't have to level. We stayed at Wahweap (the national park campground) the last time we visited Page, and while that campground is ALSO VERY NICE, I would pick Page Lake Powell Campground again the next time we visit Page, hands down. You get nice views at Wahweap, and you can walk to the lake beach. But, Wahweap is pricier, there is zero cell reception, and the Internet is useless. Page Lake Powell Campground is cheaper, also has great views (because there are great views everywhere in Page), a really nice indoor pool/hot tub, a playground, and 5 bars 5G on Verizon. You also are closer to the amenities of Page.Behind the campground is one of the massive red rocks formations, which was a lot of fun for my kid and dogs to play on. If you hike up the red rocks, you make it to the Page Rim trail, a 10-mile trail that runs around the city of Page. This is some of my favorite running in the world (and I have run in a lot of places). Dog/bike friendly! In Page we did a show at the Red Heritage Indigenous entertainment hall. They were phenomenal. Highly recommend! The Internet here was too slow to be functional for anything other than checking email. Couldn't do video calls for work. However, cell reception was great.Any negatives to report: Not really. There were a lot of people coming and going while we were there for five days, but it was fun to meet so many people around the hot tub in our time there.

The campground is clean and people are friendly, however, if the following reasons are important to you, here are some negatives we found that will not bring us back again:1) The campground has wifi, but it is not secure and probably everyone in Page is on the site making their wifi is useless. We could not get onto any site even with my Macbook Pro.2) If you do not get a site with satellite hookup as we did we could only pull in six channels with our antenna, even though they list many more.3) We travel with our two dogs and Lake Powell Campground is truly a desert RV park. This morning i finally found a patch of grass for our little one who has trouble taking care of business on gravel.

It was a fine and noisy stay, though they did have a pool and recreation area and also a nice little “scenic” walkway. There is a play area for kids. WiFi did not work on any of our device either day. My one star review is because of the appalling behavior of the manager. We had booked one night on a Friday. We had booked a tour for Sunday, 30 minutes after check in. I had talked to the ladies at the front desk before leaving on Saturday morning about returning on Sunday 30 minutes before the check in time in order to be able to make it to our tour. They said it would be no problem as everyone will be leaving and there will be plenty of spots. We roll up at 11:30 on Sunday and the two nice ladies are not there. The male manager is there and we explain the situation. He starts raising his voice and tells us that this is not okay and that he is going to have a meeting with the team about us arriving early today. We explained that there are many sites available and we could just wait on the property until noon. He told us that if we stayed or came back before noon, he would call the police and have us towed. We asked to speak with a manager and he told us that he is the manager. Unfortunately we had already paid our money for the tour, which we luckily got to on time, but I would never stay here and again and never recommend anyone stay here. Most people who treat customers in such a way would get fired from their jobs. Most RV parks cater toward the activities of the town with check in and check out times. I’m sure he’s frustrated because this has happened before, but maybe that’s a reason to change the process.

At a cost of $42 or so per night (Good Sam discount) it was a really good price for the location as well. We had a very spacious site with 50amp FHU. Getting in was pretty easy and though it was not as level as we would like, we got level the first time. We were right next to a tent camping section, but that just caused some noise in the morning as people got up and around - no big deal. Our site was large enough that our truck parked next to our front door and still had space for a picnic table before the next site - WOW.There are lots of in and out people here just passing through. The long term spots are on the other side of the park, and on the side where we were, 50%+ of the sites turn over daily. It is well run though and not a big problem. There is an indoor pool which had a lot of echo when kids yell, but was nice to use. Hot tub also!CHEAP laundry! For where this place is and the in and out people, it is a surprise the laundry is so cheap (they could charge so much more). $1.25 per wash and dryer $0.25 for 20 minutes. This means we can do loads of laundry for $1.75-$2.00 each, wow! If we had more time here we would have done so much more. There is a small playground that is dated, but between that and some other kids, our kids were happy. Not really any grass for the dog, but that is about the only negative.Highly recommended park, and maintenance staff keeps things clean too.Oh yeah, we have ATT and we had 5 bar LTE service show up, but connections were really slow - so maybe the quality is just not so great. Campground Wifi was off and on about working, so probably use it some, but at night when everyone checks in you may need another solution.

Folks in the office were very friendly and helpful. Our site was level and spacious and had a bit of shade (will be welcome in the hotter months). We were impressed with the facilities set aside for tents. Each tent site has a low wall around the perimeter, with a shade tree, picnic table, utilities and a space for the car. One of the nicest setups we've seen. The Safeway grocery and a Walmart store are nearby; this is where you'll recycle your glass. The park recycles everything else. There are plenty of restaurants in town and the entire area seems to thrive on the local tourist trade (of which there is plenty). Must see things include Antelope Slot Canyons (Upper is easy to walk; Lower includes steep flights of stairs), Glen Canyon Dam, Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend, Wawheep, Lees Ferry and Marble Canyon.

They offer a 10% discount for AAA members, which we took advantage of. We chose it for its close proximity to the Antelope Canyons, mistakenly thinking we could bike there from the campground since we were visiting in our motorhome without a toad and didn't want to unhook. In our defense, it looked doable when we looked it up on Google maps! But it was actually a hilly 3 mile ride from the campground to Antelope Canyon so we ended up calling a taxi service to pick us up and take us to and from the site.We stayed in the semi-full hookup sites: water, electric, sewer but opted for no cable TV. Our site was fairly level on gravel and near the restrooms and indoor pool. The pool was decent, clean and a welcome relief after a long hot day visiting the canyons. The restrooms were clean although my boyfriend and I each experienced weird situations with the toilets. They would flush slowly, then when you tried to flush again, sometimes it would overflow or sometimes, whoosh, it would flush very strongly. I hope they can fix the toilets as that's why I docked a couple of stars. There's also a laundry on site and a small convenience store. All in all, an average stay, but I'll stay there again if we were to come back to visit Antelope Canyon.

AMENITIES:The Indoor pool and hot tub were clean and nice, not real big but big enough when we stayed. Didn't do any laundry here so I can't attest to that.ACCESS:We stayed here to visit Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend; both of which are only a few minutes away. INTERNET:You can get decent Verizon cell signal (2-3 bars) here but the actual speed was horrendous. I averaged around 1mbps on Verizon and maybe 3-4mbps on AT&T. The park has wifi but it was also really slow. EATS:We did eat at El Tapatio in town which was really good, it was a long wait for our large group of 13 but worth it. It's a really small place. Overall the park was quiet and maintained and we would stay again if we were in the area.

No fiber has been piped into the town, and what they have is overloaded to the max. You will be lucky to get 1mbps, most of the time it is below .5mbps, this goes for everything in town, wifi, Verizon, ATT, so plan on being mostly disconnected. Of course the wifi here is unusable.

The site was only appropriate for motorhomes that could pull in forwards, and they fretted that we wouldn't be able to make it into the site.We did, but not without hitting a few branches--and a short-bed truck probably would've jack-knifed. Moral of the story: be very clear about your RV and its abilities before you book. Now for the good... it's conveniently located, near Page, the lake and all the other amenities around. There is a short but scenic hiking trail along the back of the park, and a cute playground for kids. After the initial confusion, we had a really nice stay here. One word of warning: Verizon signal looks really strong here--and it is. But it is S-L-O-W. Don't plan your week of teleconferencing in Page!

Want more details? Fine…I needed to stay in Page proper for a few nights, so the campgrounds at Lake Powell Recreation Area were out of the question. That left the Page Lake Powell Campground, as it is the only game in town. This is an uninspiring commercial RV park, like so many out there. However, I was pleasantly surprised how wide the sites are - I stayed in the water and electric only section, which is on the north end of the park. This place was so uninspiring that apparently I forgot to take any pictures, which is extremely odd for me.The park was fairly noisy as it is right off a main road. What further lead to the noise was the RV park is at the bottom of a hill, so vehicles were accelerating up the hill. In other words, staying there means you are recipient of vehicles at their noisiest. As this is the only game in town, it is incredibly popular with all the rental RVs that are in the Page area. A tremendous amount of people would just stay there one night. In and out. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing - simply an observation. :)I wouldn't stay here again. If I had to be in Page, I would make every effort to stay out at the National Recreation Area.NOTE: While both AT&T and Verizon have very strong signals here, the service is about useless for Internet. It was beyond slow. If you need to work, you will have to hit up one of the local cafes or coffee shops, or head to the library.

We stayed in the water/electric only sites but we also used the dump on the way out, which you have to get a key for in the office. The site we ended up in, 26, was right on the road so it was noisy but our A/C drowned it out.We did make use of the laundry room, which had about 10 each of washers and dryers, and was very reasonable. The fitness room also had good equipment and quite a bit for a smaller RV park. Very nice showers, too.It is just a couple miles from Walmart and other shopping, and a few miles to Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon Dam. Very convenient location. We had 4G Verizon but it was quite slow and we were apparently too far away to connect to the park's wifi.

Landscaping was nice and they have some well watered trees to provide shade at most sites. Verizon signal was great for phone and hotspot (the campground also has free unsecured WIFI throughout the park). They accept AARP and Good Sam discounts as well as others. They have a small camp store and the cheapest postcards we’ve bought in years. (Five for $1) There is easy access in and out of the park entrance. When you enter the park follow the big yellow arrows straight ahead on the pavement to park and register. The roads in the campground are paved and the sites are gravel so there isn’t much dust and dirt tracking in your RV.

My favorite thing about staying here was Antelope Point Marina is a very short drive, kayaking Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon was a spectacular experience. I have mixed feelings of where or not I would stay here again. My site was not very level, if I were to pull in for an overnight stay I would prefer to be able to simply pull in and be done with it. There are many other places in the area that would probably be more scenic. Overall I can would say anything bad about Page Lake Powell Campground.
