The weather was getting rough so I decided to hunker down in a safe haven rather than dealing with high winds in the desert. This location looked good though it hasn't been reviewed for quite a while. I made a telephone reservation a couple of days in advance just to be on the safe side. That was easy enough and I received an emailed receipt. I arrived at the gate before dark and called the number conspicuously posted. Admittance went well except that it took several minutes for the remote gate to open. Not sure if they couldn't find the remote or if the batteries died but I sat there a while. They followed up the verbal details (door codes,etc.) with a text with the same information. The entire park is crushed gravel with wide easily navigated roads. Sites are level, long but not widely spaced. The sites were neat with hookups conveniently located and in good repair. I noted the water pressure was a bit low but no biggy, my shower worked fine. There was a small, volleyball court sized dog park in the back. The bushes around the perimeter of the campground seemed to be a gathering place for lots of birds. They were very chatty all during dusk, perhaps excited that the wind was picking up. I only thing I needed was the laundry and it was very clean and modern, also reasonably priced, with a change machine for quarters. There is still a casino next door but I didn't check it out. I didn't need the wifi but the cell signals were fine. This facility caters to longer-term winter visitors but it was perfectly good for an overnight stay being right off of highway 95.
