It was quick and easy to get a site. Contactless type of business. Only downside was no water at the site but then again it’s winter so it’s understandable.

  • Not worth $52 for one night let alone more!

So for last minute single night it worked for short drive back to GC. Difficult contacting had to call multiple times offer 2 hrs to get anyone and then be told drop in only. Limited full hook ups majority 30 amp and water available, limited pull through a moat have to unhitch, $3 dump station. Dirty run down bathrooms, $2 for 8 min not worth it. 30 amp voltage varies and we couldn’t run a/c and other utilities (ice maker!) needed without tripping breaker. Any State parks across US have been better for less $$.

Tried for days to contact them before leaving on our trip and during the trip. No one ever answered and after leaving a message. No one ever called us back. Sent email and again no one replied to us. So apparently we don't believe they needed our business.

This is a dusty parking lot with nasty facilities. You are better off boondocking! The bathrooms are grimy, toilet seats with paint worn off. CDC says you don’t get Covid from touching surfaces but I’m not sure they’ve tested here!

Ten sites here are occupied right now out of 220. Despite a lack of people and 5 bars (-51 according to my LTE router!) bandwidth is attrocious with 800-900ms ping times to google DNS. I would not rely on AT&T for anything, espeically when the place is busy.T-Mobile - I'm getting aobut halfway on my signal indicator on my t-mo phone, but hot spot use is great. Kids streaming netflix right now while i post this. Not the fastest connectivity ever, but it shouldbe good enough for getting work done during the day.Campground has all basic amentities. Water they claim wil come on 'tomorrow or in the next few days'. So arrive with full tanks or use the fresh water fill near the dump station (the only water currrently).Convenience is the chief reason to choose this location. Sites are relatively level and full hookups at most. It's orderly and clean with basic amenities (bathrooms, showers, laundry).

You do have to fill your fresh water tank near office because the rest is the place as has been winterized. It’s cold here....10 this morning but will heat up to 45 during the day. They sell wood for fire pit. Laundry Available but you have to sign up. There are showers and bathrooms but we didn’t need to use them. Our electric outlet was perfectly fine and NOT UPSIDE DOWN. another review said all of them were upside down but that isn’t true...just one of them. There isn’t wifi. We would stay here again for convenience of visit the GC.

Most frustrating part was the electricity hookups are upside down and so our plug in wouldn't stay in, could have easily blown our appliances. We looked at the other sites and they are all upside down, staff said that they are under new management and that they will be working on changing all of the electric hookups so hopefully they do! Apparently this is currently an issue for many campers. The sewer was also on a uphill slope so made it difficult to dump but we made it work. We didn't use the bathrooms to much but seemed okay. After getting set up though it was a nice place to stay for a night and location was great.

Easy to walk to a few restaurants. The sewer hookups were under a little fence which made it hard to have the right angle for drainage, but it worked. We saw elk right in the middle of the park when we arrived. There were planes and helicopters flying by often, which the boys thought were really cool. They didn't bother us, but I imagine some might be annoyed.

This place is even worse than I was expecting even after reading all the reviews. We are paying $52/nt to basically dry camp because there is not enough voltage to power our 30 amp rig. After spending 7 hours on the road and 45 mins to set up the last thing you want to do is move. The maintenance guy was in the office listening to our issues and said he already clocked out so he couldn't help us. Are you freaking kidding me! You are literally 50 paces from our site and he never came by the next day to make repairs. They have “no refunds” splayed everywhere. When they over charged us for an additional night we did not reserve, the ladies at the front argued with us for 5 minutes before realizing it was their mistake and finally offered cash as refund because apparently the owner has it set us so they are unable to refund/reverse credit card charged. Additionally, the sites are unlevel, dirt, with no trees/shade. $3 to dump and $2 per shower. I've been in the office 4 times now and each time there was at least 2 people ahead of me in line with problems to report. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you dry camp on the public lands that are even closer to the entrance than this park. There are dozens and dozens of easy access free parking sites for larger rigs (35’ at least). Had I done more research and had known there were so many great free sites, we would have dry camped for free just outside the entrance to the park.

Speaking of dogs, we left our camper for less than 30 minutes to get ice cream at McDonalds, came back to a nasty note left on the door about our dogs barking. Thank goodness we’re leaving tomorrow! Our bad for not planning ahead or finding a boondocking spot and having to be at the mercy of the last resort. Didn’t use any of the facilities, can’t comment on that. The location is very convenient, just outside the south rim. Near airport, lots of planes and helicopters noise, didn’t bother us.

This place is terrible, even if the only game in town. You'd be better off staying at Williams (50 miles away) than to deal with the rude staff and terrible upkeep of this "village".The roads are rough, all lots are dirt and uneven (when dry), and the lukewarm showers disgusting. But the worst was the treatment by the staff behind the desk. On more than one occasion I walked in to talk to the person perched behind the computer and start a conversation only to find that the lady was on a headset chatting with someone. A finger waved in the air was the only way to know that she was already engaged. After ending one call, I could only get a few words in edgewise before she would transition to a new call in the middle of our conversation. The last straw was a back and forth over quarters for the showers. The first day, the lady behind the desk pleasantly made small talk while making change for three in our party to take showers. The second day a different lady was exceptionally rude (once off headset) and refused to make change. She told my girlfriend to get change from the next door General Store. My GF dutifully trudged to the General Store (in her PJs) to get quarters but was rudely told by the General Store that the Camper Village should be responsible for making change for their patrons. So my poor GF trudged back to take another chance with the rude lady behind the desk. Again the woman said "no", b/c she had no change to give. My GF suggested that the woman could probably get some change from the coin machines in the nearby shower house. The woman angrily replied that she was busy, we should try a gas station in town, and...no exaggeration...returned to eating her Big Mac!We had to drive into town to get quarters to shower before leaving that afternoon.

We found our designated slot from the map, to NO electricity, and a water facet that never turned off. Rebecca was Terrific, unfortunately I did not see her again Friday. (I saw someone different every time I went into the office afterward.) They were kind enough to send the maintenance man to us to remind us we needed to come into the office and make payment. The sewer line was large, so my standard hose did not naturally fit, I had to adjust it many times during my stay. The next day we found there was NO AT&T, no pay phones, or Prepaid US Phone Cards to be found in all of Tusuyan! When I finally asked if I could use their phone to call my CA physician, I was told not without a phone card. I saw many posts on other critic websites about the poor state of the restrooms, of which I did not need use. There was a $2.00/8min shower charge, which I chose not to pay. The charge was the same amount for the "summer rate" as it is for the sites actually locates in the Grand Canyon park, so if you are able to reserve one of those, you can spend more time actually AT the Grand Canyon. We left after a 2nd snowstorm, 1 day visit to the Grand Canyon and a lot less in our pockets.
