Campground is nice. We were hardly there since there’s so much to see in the area, but location is great, and sites are fine. Definitely would come back.

The sites are jam packed next to each other and some are very difficult to get into with trees right in the way, even one of the employees mentioned that they should be taken down. I made the mistake of taking my fifth wheel around the outer loop (Canyon Ave). As soon as I started the turn down that road I regretted it, but since it is an expensive campground I went forward thinking it couldn't be all that bad even though there was a big wash out right through the road. I was wrong. It got worse. I starting spinning out coming up the hill, but once I put my F250 into 4 wheel drive I came out of it super easy. The one-way roads are tight too and confusing to navigate. I had site 38, which had a good amount of space for my truck to sit next to my 25' trailer. I liked that it was one of the more secluded sites. The road noise was pretty loud though. The bathrooms are remodeled and look really wonderful. I chose to use my own shower so I cannot speak to the hot water. I did use the laundry room and that was nice. There is a tiny little trail that goes into the woods, which might be .2 mile. It's a good little dog walk, but there were beautiful sunflowers and a little seating area that were nice. Still a lot of road noise though. It's conveniently located to town if that's what you are looking for. I was surprised to learn that there are a ton of Coconino Forest Campgrounds nearby. I will seek out one of those next time. All in all it was okay. I guess for me, if I am paying $58.85/night (including tax) then I would expect better upkeep of the roads and an easier time getting in and out.

The staff were nice, at least the ones we encountered. The RV part, not so much. Like most of the reviews, the spots are small, with little or no privacy. The sites are on a maze of ill-defined dirt access roads, and kids from the nearby sites would just walk direct line across other campsites back and forth to the rest rooms. Road noise was loud, mostly from motorcycles and trucks on Old Rt. 66 and Woody Mountain Road. Despite the other reviews, we did not hear trains--but Flagstaff is a railroad town. Our site had only 20 A electric and no water, but that end of the campground was a bit more private, and only surrounded by stored RVs and a rickety wooden fence. Some of the sites at that end were non-electric, and even though no generators were allowed, that was except at the dry sites near us. So, the positives, its a great location, near town, near the Interstate. And the cafe has a new menu and chef, that we did not try.

Camp host yelled at us upon entering when we missed our spot. She yelled so loud she actually scared our kids. We overlooked that and continued with our stay. Later in our stay she refused to enforce camp policies relating to the safety of children. When the situation was brought to her attention, her response was “get over it.” She will yell at you if you go 1 mph over the speed limit but can care less about anything else. She has no business dealing with the public. I brought my concern to a young lady at the office and she was very helpful. I would not recommend this place based solely on how we were treated by the camp host.

Lots of good things about this campground - clean, safe, close to town, etc. But the sites are ridiculously close together and you simply have no privacy. If your good with that it’s probably 4 or 5 stars but it’s just too cramped for me.

I really loved this campground. You are super close to town but would never know it. Lots of pine trees and even a little trail thru the woods. Staff super nice. Had good free wifi too. Campground is a bit hilly so you need to level the site just a bit. I would stay here again for sure.

We didn’t know Flagstaff well so we did not realize there was so much more “going on” on the other side of town. This was a bike ride away from some big box shopping and some of the “downtown” area and that was all we needed. It was’t until we needed to get propane refilled (not exchanged) that we ventured to the other side of town. Honestly, we only noticed the train a couple of times and it didn’t ever wake us up or bother us. We had a fairly quiet spot in the middle of the park. The trees made us feel like we were in the middle of the woods even though almost every spot was full and we were no farther than 10 feet from the rig(s) next door. People came and went, but were generally quiet. WiFi was decent and you can tell they are trying their best to provide service as they have APs all over the park. Used the laundry facilities and they were clean enough.

Full hookups with water and sewer but they only had 30amp for us instead of 50amp.Pros:We got a spot without a prior reservation. The sites are pretty level and it's kinda neat being in the forest so close to town.Cons:Train noise all night. We had some electrical issues. We were never using the full 30amps but we continually had lights flickering even when we were just sitting there not running AC or any power-hungry appliances. We actually left a day early to stay at the KOA in Williams to see if it was our rig or the park. Our rig was fine after we left so we suspect some electrical issues. The park was closing soon after we left for renovations so perhaps they will fix that. The power lines were pretty low. We drove very slowly under a line right by the entrance and the front of our 5th wheel barely touched. We have a large 42ft 5th wheel but there are plenty of rigs bigger and taller. So be careful. The entrance to the park is right off a busy road and there was a pretty good bump down from the asphalt to the dirt after some rain damage. Close enough we just about bottomed out on the rear of our rig. Just a little kiss on the pavement luckily. The park overall is not super big rig friendly. There are trees throughout and the roads are a bit narrow and the corners a bit sharp. Luckily some of the corner sites were empty so we could swing a little easier to make the corners. But if the park is full it would be tricky navigating around with larger rigs.

Dirt / gravel pads that don't provide much privacy, but not as bad as some RV Village. Past that, this park needs a serious overhaul. The bathrooms are probably the worst shape. Very old, and while they clean them, there is only so much you can do. The showers are badly water stained and the facility is pretty run down. The septic hook up at the site doesn't have any threads, so I used a rock to hold the pipe in place. I noticed also that when I hooked up the electrical, there is no breaker at the site. Looks like a lot of repairs over years have been done on the cheap. That said, the staff did say that they were scheduled to be closed for renovation in the next month. It will be interesting to see reviews next season.

It was within a few minutes of everything we wanted to do in Flagstaff, yet we really felt like we were camping in the woods and not in the city center. Hookups were fine (30amp) and they have brand new washers and dryers. My favorite part was the kids playground. It was a nice option to let the kids work out their wiggles outside of our trailer. Wish they had a pet area- only recommendation. We would definitely stay here again.

Quite with great access to all Flagstaff has to offer literally less then 5 minutes away. Part of the reason we came to town was to get a decent cell connection so I could data and get some work done. The wifi here rocks for free wifi. I did not even use my cell data. Got work done and even streamed movies all on their free wifi without paying for upgraded speed. Was only planning on staying 2 bights at the most but stayed for 3.

We knew we were coming in late so we requested a pull through... We were told that’s what we were getting. We showed up at 9:45PM tired and ready to just go to bed to find we were moved to a back in. Ok fine. After backing into the slot in the dark we find that we are in the most uneven spot in the free world! After setting up the hookups I quit for the night. The next morning I finally was able to level it in the day light. Good luck trying to dump your tanks without some cardio. We also contacted them ahead of time for a late check out. No problem they said. We woke up on Sunday and called in. Yea... No. get out by 11:30... We also got a text early Sunday morning saying they had their famous breakfast burritos for sale. My girlfriend walked over to get us some shortly after. They had no idea what we were talking about as the kitchen was closed. One more thing. Super quiet! Except for the constant train noise. Needless to say I’m not sure we will be back.

Don't know why they put someone there when the park was not very full....The sites are very close together, so if it was busy, it would have been a completely different experience. Site 17 is really narrow we came to realize, much narrower than the others, so I would not take that one again. We had some friends join us for the weekend and they tent camped. They reported that the bathrooms were kind of old but well kept. The same can be said for the laundry room. As for the laundry, its $2 for a wash and a quarter gets you 7 minutes in the dryer. Its cold wash only, so if you have some heavily soiled stuff, you might want to go down the street to the laundromat. As for the site itself, it had a little bit of slope front to back, but was level for the most part where it counts. Our particular site was 30 amp only, and these sites do not have local breakers, I'm not the biggest fan of that. There are about 5 acres of woods on the east side of the property that are great for exploring with the dogs, so that was a good bonus for them. If you are deciding between this camp and Kit Carson which is a bit closer to Flagstaff (half mile maybe) I would choose this, seems much better kept, and no shady looking mobile homes. It was nice and quite, but it did lose a star due to a construction project that is happening on the lot to the south of the park.
