She takes you via a cart to site. Shows you around. Is very clear on the do's and don'ts. And they are totally reasonable.... So I had a wonderful brief time there. Would totally go back.

The site was mostly level, dirt and gravel. There is minor road noise in this site as it is fairly close to Hwy 89 but nothing that kept us awake. Since we were here during winter there was no laundry facility available but there is a great laundromat not too far away (Supermat Laundromat). Not the cheapest but definitely the cleanest, nicest laundromat I have ever used. We had no problems getting into or out of our site. There were no shower or bathrooms available while we were here either but we didn't need them anyway. There is hiking right out of the park and more right down the street. Grocery shopping is close by (Safeway) as well as the Flagstaff Mall. Overall, we find this park convenient and comfortable and we would stay here again.

We would stay here again, especially if in need for hook-ups after a stint of boondocking in the many National Forest Service areas near Flagstaff.

Came here due to proximity to Flagstaff and a favorable recent review. After I paid, was informed that there is no restroom and no showers! I had assumed that they had both, as they had a laundry. the sites were dirt, but very level and the area was quiet. Check in was easy, and the staff was friendly.

What we didn’t know was that the park doesn’t have a dump station and so we now have to find somewhere else to dump our tanks. Asked the lady at the office about this and she said they took 4 sites off of sewer and that we would have to figure out where to dump. Didn’t know where we could do it but suggested maybe the KOA down the rode would accommodate us.This explains why they have a policy of no refunds, no prorated stays, no money back. They have WiFi, bit slow but works, and electricity. Site is fairly cramped for space and the park is right on a double lane road that has traffic all through the night so if traffic noise bothers you look somewhere else.

The site feels a little overgrown. I enjoy mature trees, but they are EVERYWHERE and can make squeezing into the tight sites even trickier. It's pretty, in its way, but also feels very "lived in."We were in spot 11, right by the front (although to point in the correct direction, we had to drive all the way around to pull into our spot...made leaving the next day easy.) We had neighbors pull in after us (Spot 10) and they were REALLY close. The hookups, although older, all were in good shape and we had no issues. And despite appearances, our particular lot actually ended up being pretty level! We'd stay here again, but it was nothing fantastic. 3.5 stars, I would say.

However, there is no open space, only the roads between campsites. So, it’s felt cramped and a little odd walking my dog so close to neighbors’ campers. One positive, it backs up to public land and has a gate to a lovely trail where I walked in the morning once it was light enough for me to see it. Probably wouldn’t stay again, but it was fine for one night.

The ad should have said NO DUMP STATION. So when we get there we thought, well we will be here 2 nights so we should dump then park. No dump station. The ad said "no public showers" which I thought meant, no showers for people from the public to come in to use. The ad should have said NO SHOWERS AT ALL. The RVs had about 2 feet between them. Jam packed in there. There was a fine if you did not pick up your dogs doo doo. However, clearly nobody cared because the dog park smelled like poo every time we went by. Disgusting. Then there was the highway noise. The trains. And the party people. We only stayed one night and we will not be back. The wifi was very sparse as was the cell service. Just not for us.

Site 1 was really nice because it was on the end and next to the neighbors yard — who had a dog that was very friendly through the fence with our dog. We had a huge “back yard” area as well with 2 picnic tables. The park staff were very friendly and came through frequently to pick up pine cones and tidy the sites. The campground backs up to miles and miles of trails on the National Forest which was great for us and the dog! Easy drive to Sedona and the Grand Canyon and of course all the recreation Flagstaff has to offer. Plus we were here during COVID and could have food delivered to Campground and do curbside grocery pickup close by via Instacart. Easy access to bike greenway and we were able to ride for miles on it all over town. The drawback of site 1 was that it backed up to the highway so noise was often present. The drawback of the Campground was that the cell service for both Verizon and TMobile was terrible for anything more than an occasional web surf. No emails, no streaming, no Facebook live, no Zoom calls. Occasionally the service would work some, but it was completely unpredictable. And on weekends — forget it. All service was gone. I work full time on the road so this was a huge challenge especially during COVID as coffee shops and Coworking spaces were closed. I had to drive and sit in the car in the nearby mall parking lot to get work done. Not the campground’s fault, though their WiFi (could have been a backup) was also unusable. We would definitely come back but only when on a break from work!

The proximity to the National Forest trails is unparalleled—just walk out the back gate and hundreds of miles at your disposal! A lot of long term folks here but several new folks every day. We didn’t really get to experience the coffee shop out front because of COVID but it looked really nice and the coffee to go was great. The only warning I’ll say is that for some reason Verizon nor T-mobile were worth a damn during our stay. It seems like this whole side of the mountain has intermittent fluctuations in bandwidth—no matter what the coverage maps say. We were still able to stream Netflix, surf the web, and send email but every now and then it would drop to NOTHING (despite saying LTE on our phones). If you’re just recreating it won’t be a big deal but if you’re doing Zoom meetings or FB live, this could be a big problem. Nothing the campground can do to fix it unfortunately. WiFi is good through most of the park but as with most campgrounds, it’s not adequate for the work I mentioned above. Also, I knocked it down one star for noise because the sites by Highway 89 are a bit loud—we didn’t mind it but in the middle or back is much quieter.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. There is a laundry, but it is closed in the winter. No community restrooms or showers and no wood fires. There is a small fenced dog run, however we preferred the National Forest trails for exercise and playtime. Most sites have FHU-50amp service, each has a picnic table and most are shady. Although the pine trees can also make access tricky and some sites are too narrow for big slideouts. Site quality varies, as does size (both length and width) and levelness. You can reserve on-line and choose a specific site, but given the limitations a call to the office may be the best option. Clientele is a mix of long- and short-term and the park frequently fills up, so I’d recommend reservations if possible. It’s a short drive to the mall or downtown Flagstaff and all the shopping, restaurants, and amenities you could ask for. We had 4 bars of Verizon 4G unboosted. The park’s wifi was completely worthless – we could get connected but had no internet access. The staff were apologetic, but agreed there just wasn’t sufficient access to meet demand.

The customer service was great from beginning to end. We even stayed a couple hours past official checkout with no problem since nobody was coming into our spot the next day. The cell phone service was good on both AT&T and Verizon and we were able to do video meetings and work throughout the afternoon. The park is older and some of the spots are small, but if you walk around there are bigger ones in different parts of the park. The trees can make a few of the spots "interesting" but nothing you can't figure out how to get around. We had a smaller spot, and we still fit our travel trailer, van, and F150 on it with no problem. The park backs up to the Coconino, which is great -- you can walk right out the back of the park and follow miles and miles of trails. It was super quiet and dark at night, too.We found this to be a pretty easy in and out for a one night stay and really appreciated the friendly service. If we needed to overnight in Flag again, we'd pick this park again, too.

Camp host was nice and helpful, they give you a little guide of Flagstaff if you want to explore and are unfamiliar with the town. Seemed as if all their sites were pull-thru and with full hookups, the campground was easy to navigate while pulling our 30 ft TT. The campground WiFi actually surpassed my expectations as we were able to stream a few movies off it easy enough. The campground had a laundry area that included a common area that had games and such to pass the time, laundry cost $2 to wash, and 75 cents to dry. Appeared they were having a campground potluck for the 4th of July (we left prior, so not sure what it was like). Had a decent amount of full-time folks in the campground, but plenty of people just staying one night as they drove through town as well. They had a forest trail in the back of the campground that led to state park access, but it was closed due to fire restrictions while we were there.Overall was a great place to be able to park our rig, get full hook-ups (even decent Wi-Fi) for a couple days before we started the next leg of our own journey.

Most of the sites are very close together, but I think those are mostly for weekly/monthly stays. For our overnight stay we had a very long and wide pull-through with a privacy fence--It was a great site for us. There was free WiFi but we found it too slow to be useful. Surrounded by ponderosa pines with mountain views behind you and immediate access to trails leading straight into the Coconino National Forest, this place is great. It's quiet, even though it's right off Highway 89. Its location makes it easy to get into Flagstaff, head up to the Grand Canyon, or hop on I-40. Flagstaff, itself, is fun with plenty of local businesses and breweries around San Francisco and Beaver Streets. There's also an REI if you need to outfit yourself for adventure. The managers (who are workampers so they might not be here beyond summer '15) are fantastic, providing lots of suggestions of things to do and super accommodating of all requests and questions. If you head north along 89 a very short distance, you can walk to a very cool ruin that has a nice interpretive trail explaining the site. If you head south, after just a block, the sidwalk becomes a huge bike trail leading past the KOA to the trailhead for Fatman's Loop, an easy-moderate day hike that provides awesome views of East Flagstaff.Being in town, the cell signal is strong (haven't tried the wifi), and the necessities like groceries are super close, with a Safeway right down the street.Great place to stay, but there are a few complaints: * Aphids in the pines are constantly dropping sap, so prepare for your rig and toad to get splattered. It's easy to wash off, though.* If you have a washer/dryer in your rig, you can't use it here. The septic system can't take the load, so you have to use their laundry facility (when it's open in the spring-fall, or go into town), which means more $.All in all, we would definitely stay here again.
