We normally stay down in the Spit but this year, we decided to change it up and stay at the KOA Baycrest. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly. We were able to get a larger site down along the bluff, over looking the bay. We had eagles soaring overhead and were able to watch the boats come to and from Homer. The services worked great and we didn’t have any issues.

The sites with full hook ups are the way to go here. We opted to do dry camping, and did not have as nice of a view as the full hook up sites. Not bad all in all though.

  • Not the prettiest but, wow the view

We stayed here on the lower bluff sites and while it is a typical AK campground (plain gravel, close, etc.) the view more than made up for it. Homer itself wasn't much being just another money grab tourist trap. Prices for RV Parks in Homer have gone up. Seems like everyone was quoting $65 or more for FHU in late June. Thought I'd found a deal for an electric only site for $45, but... Thought I'd found a deal for an electric only site for $45, but... Turns out the electric only sites are backed right up to the highway instead of down over the bluff with the other sites. Cost me one night's reservation to cancel but at least we've got a spot (elsewhere) where we'll be able to get some sleep.

  • Beautiful views.

Very clean. They weren’t busy when we checked in so they let us pick where we wanted to park. Pleasant staff. Our site was pie shaped and could have been a little wider but we were fine. Would definitely recommend!
