We ended up staying here after finding the combo gas station/McKinley RV park just up the road to be pretty dumpy (not surprising) and wanting more of a peaceful nature experience, combined with a trip to nearby 49th State Brewing. 30' is probably close to the maximum RV size you can get in here, but 34' might be okay if you're good at maneuvering and experienced backing into small sites. You might also have to leave your towed down at the office lot, or in a pullout along the campground road somewhere. There's a switchback in the road getting through the campground, so disconnecting upon arrival is a good idea for motorhomes over 25'. Fifth wheels might have trouble with some low-hanging trees on the campground roads. We cleared just fine at 12' tall with just a few light brushes to some thinner branches. No hookups at all here, but toilets and showers are included in the camping fee of $12/adult + $4/child. $24 seemed a little steep for no utilities, but much cheaper than the parks around Denali, and the gas station was $30 for electric only, so we'd rather have the peace and quiet. We had good solar coming in most of the day since the trees are mostly shorter conifers all around you and don't form a canopy. Generators would be okay too as long as they're away from the vegetation. The group camping sites are especially nice, with tent spots nestled right in the woods along the lake and covered picnic areas. The RV spots aren't very level and have some big rocks you may need to move. Opposing slides would be difficult to open in many of the sites. Overall, a convenient place to stay if you want to do one of the many whitewater rafting or kayaking guided adventures that start here, or if you have your own watercraft and want to launch on Otto Lake. We were told there's no fee to launch our SUP's from their dock. We'd definitely stay here again if we wanted a quiet place to relax, work, and soak up some nature away from the Denali crowds. Cellular data on both AT&T and Verizon was the fastest we've seen in a long time: we clocked 40 Mbps on Verizon and 21 Mbps on AT&T!
