A little better than most Alaskan campgrounds with hookups, this parking-lot style lot did have some trees and shrubs, was clean, and well kept. I arrived after 8, so office was closed, and my "envelope" was not on the door as promised, but there is a self-service system, so I found an available pull through site and deposited my payment. Campground is near the main highway, but is quiet at night. Was perfect for a one-night stopover on my way to Valdez. Had wifi.

However, someone else had taken the spot so the office had to scramble to situate us. The site we got was still a pull thru but narrow and required some finesse to pull around the neighbour’s site. Also, the #’s on the row signs, put #12 in a different row than it actually was. The pull thru’s only have electricity and water but the dump station was easy to access. They also provide you with a couple of free tokens for their shower (which we didn’t use). Their Wi-Fi was good and there were some TV channels available. There was limited recycling.

  • Very pleasant!

We picked a great night because on Monday/Wednesday/Friday’s she and her husband serve dessert! And it was delicious! Clean restrooms, great showers (they give you the tokens). During dessert, they talk to everyone and encourage fellowship. Overall delightful experience! Thanks for some more great memories for this already memorable trip!!
