With the help of the CG’s very helpful and friendly maintenance guy, backing in was easy as the campground road was wide enough for large vehicles to pass. The utilities were smartly placed on the site. There was no cable but we got an okay variety of OTA channels that included only one of the major networks. There were no mature shade trees in the park so satellites had a clear shot to the southern sky. There’s a nice little fenced dog park plus plenty of area to walk your dog. There was no laundry facility probably due to most of the motor coaches having washers/dryers. Another nice amenity in the park was a trash can at each site. The Red Bay Yacht Club was the "on park" restaurant setting on the small lake/pond that the 51 RV sites circled. We received 3 bars on Verizon and 2 bars on AT&T. The CG WiFi was well above average compared to similar sized parks with 7.8 download speed. The CG was full of Tiffin Class A motorhomes getting maintenance work done. We were there for a lithium battery installation by a local mobile RV technician. We had come to this area twice before to have our Vilano 5th wheel serviced at the nearby Tishomingo, MS RV service center, but did not realize that at Red Bay there was an abundance of specialized services like custom wood work, upholstery, etc. I provided a vendor list as a picture. We thought Elkhart, IN would be more like this with RV services readily available, but we did not observe many services offered when we were there last year. We needed to extend our stay several days to finish our install, and the very friendly management was accommodating. They also had a general store with novelty items onsite as well as excellent choice of camper supplies. Contrary to some of the other reviews that the only reason to come to Red Bay is for RV repair, there is quite a bit to do in this area. The office has a list of places to visit. Red Bay makes a good base for visiting venues such as civil war battlegrounds to the north and Elvis’ birthplace to the south in Tupelo. If you are a hiker, go to Tishomingo State Park where trails vary from easy to fairly difficult (checkout the swinging bridge trail) or if you are a mountain biker, Tombigbee State Park has excellent trails. At Tombigbee, talk to a ranger to find the bike trails as their is no trail signage (that we saw anyway) coming into the park. There is also a very nice disc golf course at Tombigbee. State Park passes are $4.00 per day or an annual pass costs $50. Overall we had a great visit and highly recommend this park.

And so far, no fire ant anthills that I found...

Overall WiFi was “ok” with data rates from 0.2 MB/s up to 0.8 MB/s, as the resort was full. Satellite coverage was good and we had visibility to all 3 DISH west satellites, so we didn’t try OTA channels.
Enjoy your stay in Red Bay!

We like many others come through Red Bay for repairs and upgrades on our Tiffin Motorhome. When we first looked at the campground options in Red Bay we were a little disappointed. Most are gravel lots with some hookups meant for short stays while waiting for repairs. Nothing to write home about and did I mention the dog hates walking on gravel. LOL. We were left wondering why the mecca of Tiffin motorhome owners did not have a decent campground. I mean seriously people spending $200k-$600k plus on a motorhome like Roughing it Smoothly, right? Then we found RBA, hardly even on the maps yet, and booked a stay.We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The Office/Camp Store is large and has a variety of things to browse from Nick-nacks to Sewer hoses. The roads are paved and the sites are cement pads with 50/30 AMP Full hook-ups. Easy to get in and out of for those hurried trips to Tiffin Service to get in you Bay on time. All sites face the lake, which is a nice centerpiece to this campground and is colorfully lite at night.Fido will like it as there are plenty of grassy areas and a fenced-in dog run with room to run and picnic tables for us humans. The restaurant was not open the first time we were here, but open the second time with restrictions due to Covid. We picked up breakfast a few times and Dinner once. All were great! The staff even offered to deliver some of the meals to our sites during less busy times.Otherwise, the restaurants in the area are limited unless you drive out a bit. We did enjoy some fantastic Pizza and Mexican in the Belmont, MS area just a 15-20 min drive up the road.Needless to say, Entertainment is a little lacking in Red Bay, so why not enjoy your stay while you are here. One more note, cell coverage in Red Bay is lacking in General, voice calls tend to work but data is very spotty and slow when it is available. Check with the campground to see if this has changed. Otherwise, they do offer WiFi at the campground which we used to supplement our cellular options for work purposes.
