I usually hit coastal towns and spend my time near water… but my family is near the Birmingham area. This places gives the slightly removed water feel while still being close to all the things you need. Lots of trails and pell city civic center near by too that is pretty for sunset.

This is a marina campground with the majority occupied by full time rentals. The bathrooms were fine and the people were nice, we had no problems.

We were traveling from Texas to home (Georgia) and had to stop for the night. This was the ONLY place available. There is one other full service RV place ten miles away but they were full. This is a RV and Marina Park with dry storage. Looks like a lot of people live there in their RV. It was seen in construction in progress on their R...moreWe were traveling from Texas to home (Georgia) and had to stop for the night. This was the ONLY place available. There is one other full service RV place ten miles away but they were full. This is a RV and Marina Park with dry storage. Looks like a lot of people live there in their RV. It was seen in construction in progress on their RV, more permanent like hookups, and excessive decor on the outside. RV spaces are really close together (just enough for a slide but not to walk through), older picnic tables, and more dirt less gravel parking. Lots of smokers all around. However, everyone was very nice, although bathrooms and showers were pretty old they worked well, and the lake is pretty to look at at night/morning (we had a limited view). There is a laundromat, well stocked convenience store with gas, and vending. For what we needed we were pleased but would not go back for pleasure. They offer WiFi and my cell worked well with 1-2 bars.
