If you need to work while traveling you will not get a strong enough cell coverage if you are using mobile internet. 2) There wifi didn’t work from our site. It was very weak. 3) The bathrooms were getting remodeled and there was only one portable bathroom for the entire campground and the handicap stall was locked and they made it so even the handicapped people couldn’t get access to it unless they complained about it. 4) A bit of a drive from Mount Shasta and the town.

The staff is friendly and helpful. If you love the outdoors, this is the place for you. Lovely sound of running water, tall stately trees, campground clean. We will be coming back.

Very quiet although all sites were occupied because the USFS campgrounds were closed because of fire concerns. Restrooms were very clean. Sites were fairly well spaced out.

Just not our style... we were pleasantly surprised to see the campground was actually a campground and the fun little "resort" of old train cabooses and small cabins was a little walk away. The resort was rustic and incredibly cool to walk around the train cars and old train parts. It was hot, so we reserved a hook up site (rare for us), but we wanted power. We found a nice pull through site online, drove in to the campground, found our name on a list, pulled in and we were set up. We could hear the creek from our site, had beautiful trees all around, no one in front of us, cooled off in the creek, enjoyed breakfast in the dining car in the morning, and had decent cell service. I think there was only 2 or 3 other sites taken - we stayed her late August, 2019. Would love to come back & just hang out for a few days. Easy access off the 5, but for some weird reason I had always pictured this on the other side of the freeway.

We had reasonably good internet connection with park network . AT&T and Verizon have 2 bar connection which was usable with WeBoost on our RV. 4G signal. 30A site which was pull through with sound of stream running in the back. There is a swimming hole next to restaurant if you cross the foot bridge . It was about 4-5 feet deep at the deepest and we felt safe to swim there .. would be nice to come back on a hot day. Location is close to Highway 5 exit 728.

The RV park and campground is a little further up the road from the main "resort" which is right of of I-5. Despite the close proximity to I-5 there is absolutely no road noise. Check-in was easy, just a posted list of guests and their sites. Sites are under tall fir trees and are not paved, leveling is required and could be challenging in some sites. Full hook ups, but the sewer inlet was raised above ground which made it difficult to use with our very low black tank dump tube. Bathrooms were closed due to COVID. Pool is at the motel part of the resort down the hill, but was closed due to COVID. The Pacific Crest trail is just across the stream from the campground so there is some nice hiking.

It was nice to be able to pick the site out online, because I made sure we were close enough to the office to get good wireless coverage and so if you're working and on the road, I would recommend this spot in particular. We didn't have any cell signal to speak of.Dunsmuir is a tiny town but it wasn't hard to find the campsite. There a motel designed out of old railroad cabooses on the same property, with a restaurant as well. Our site was nice and shaded and we could walk down to an awesome creek to cool of and have a great view of Castle Crags.I do want to mention that though the website makes the motel and the rv park to be the same property, it's not really. So my dreams for swims in the pool were dashed pretty quickly. My fault for not doublechecking...but still.
