But, the spaces are very narrow and close together. thankfully no one was staying in the space next to us, but if they were, my slide outs would’ve been probably just feet from their trailer. The RV park was only about 2/3 full, but if it was at full capacity, it would’ve been extremely noisy, crowded and there seems to be a lot of partiers at this campground. We were in a “super premium” pull through site and we still didn’t have much room for our truck to park next to our trailer. We had to pull the vehicle partially on the grass to get off the road. We stayed in space 16 and it was on an end, but it was right next to the employee building and the propane tank, so there was a lot of coming and going constantly. Management texts you with activities and things that are happening on a day-to-day basis, which is nice. One day they had a little farmstand pull in and we were able to pick up some fresh vegetables. They have a restaurant on site which serves pizza, sandwiches and salads. Also they have entertainment on the weekend around a fire pit. If you bring bicycles, you have to be extremely careful with them as there are thieves that come through with heavy duty cable cutters and the RV resort recommends that you take a tire off and put it inside your vehicle in addition to using major locks. They sent us an email prior to our stay to alert us to this problem. Also, they have fire pits and allow wood fires and have a good Wi-Fi signal.

But: Tuesday, grass-cutting day; Wednesday, trash pickup day; Thursday, grass-cutting the sites that didn't get cut Tuesday and random driving around in noisy machines; Friday, tree-trimming and chipping day. It all starts around 9am, and it never quiets down until late afternoon. Not to mention the construction noise, which we weren't pre-warned about. On the positive side, the staff are super-friendly and efficient, sites are clean and level.

The first site they put us was too short, and then put us at a buddy site which led to the cons listed below. Pros - Location, resort amenities, and overall cleanliness Cons - Expensive. Internal roads and sites are narrow. Most sites are short and narrow, will not fit a big rig with a TV or toad comfortably. Our neighbor could have opened a window on their main slide and touched our rig. We will return only because there aren't viable options in the area.

At the camp you have tons of RV sites, cabins, and tents for rent. I did not see any sites though that allow you to pop your own tent. Also, many sites have trees though the premium paved sites don’t. The best sites imho are the xl. Pools and hot tubs. Pizza restaurant and lounge. Live music on weekends. Playground and 1/2 soccer field. Great wifi and very clean overall. In other words, tons to do without leaving the campground. If you want peace and quiet, this definitely aint it though they do appear to enforce quiet hours after 10 pm.

We were only here 2 nights and on the 2nd night our bikes were stolen from our campsite. Cannondale Trail 8 and a REI Co-Op DRT Mountain Bikes GONE and we heard nothing!! These are professional criminals and they know exactly what they're doing. Not only were our bikes stolen but our camp neighbor a few sites from us had his bike stolen the night before and another camper had his bike stolen 2 nights prior to ours being stolen. THIS IS A PROBLEM!! This place is to expensive to have criminals come into the campground stealing bikes and per the office bikes get stolen even when chained up. They have no security. There are multiple ways to go in and out of the campground on foot. For $100 a night I expect more security but the office doesn't care because they're selling campsites. They have tons of staff during the day but pretty much zero staff at night. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO FLYING FLAGS EVER AGAIN! $200 for the site plus $1250 for stolen bikes equals one expensive camping trip! NEVER AGAIN FLYING FLAGS NEVER AGAIN!!!! Advice for the office: Tell people there's an issue with bikes being stolen. It takes nothing to warn people. If you warn people they'll take extra precaution and the bike thieves will stop stealing bikes!! PS...We didn't even get the enjoy the restaurants on the campground because they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and we stayed from Monday to Wednesday.

It’s important to note I made and cancelled reservations FIVE times as we waited for our TT to be ready, and the nice folks at FF never batted an eye. Great and welcoming customer service! The good:Huge variety of sites, different sizes, sun/shade, pull through and back in, gravel and concrete. Different price ranges and amenities so a little something for everyone. Full hookups in great condition. Sites are close together so love thy neighbor ????Spotlessly clean, inside and out. Excellent COVID precautions, including efficient curbside check in. Easy to drive through the park with virtually any size rig.Location is amazing, close to Highway 101 so some road noise but nothing earth shattering. Restaurants, coffee, huge markets, small markets, beer breweries, and LOTS of wineries within easy drive or even bike distance. Biking here on the roads is great, and mountain biking is nearby.Beautiful pool area (open) and hot tub (closed) lots of seating, open green areas for kids to play ball. Kids - and lots of them, on every possible mode of kid transport like bikes, e-scooters, etc. so be careful driving. Very family and pet friendly. We don’t have little kids anymore so if you’re looking to avoid herds of kids, maybe travel during the week during the school year. It was fun to watch them having fun!Quiet hours were nicely observed by most campers, which was great since the park was FULL. The SERVICE was great. Opening night I got a text from staff to make sure all was OK. Then following afternoon, another. For this one I let them know the lid on the fire pit was missing a handle and they sent someone right away to fix it. I’m a stickler for great customer service and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful.Dog park - was small and fully half of it was a hill, so that would be a “needs improvement” vote from us, especially given how many pups were there ????NOTE: if you have non-rv friends or family, there are a variety of cabins and huts and safari tents and yurts available for rent. Very cool, done as “neighborhoods” with their own vibe, and scattered throughout the site. Also there is a Vintage Row of trailers that are available for rent to get the RV experience without the hassle. This is a well thought out and very well maintained resort and we would absolutely stay again.

I’d really love to see them open an adults only loop here.We didn’t like how loud the campground was, but would likely stay here again for its walkable location relative the Hitching Post and Industrial Eats.We didn’t find the Premium sites to be worth the upgrade, you get a concrete pad, but you’re also much closer to the 101 and the highway noise is very noticeable. The camp store has a great selection of local wines and beer. We found the wines to be the same price as they were in the tasting rooms. If you’re looking to do some wine tasting, the Chamber of Commerce has many two for one tasting cards and Uber has a special wine mode in the area to have a driver for as long as you need one. This RV resort did meet that criteria but... spaces are tight and the place is a zoo. Seems to be a destination for families with trailers that want to hang but the pool during take day and a fire pit at night. Good for them but no real places for adults who don’t want to hang by the pool with hundreds of screaming kid albeit having fun kids! We may have been so unlucky as to be there during spring break ?? Word to the wise, if you don't have kids ask for a site far away from the playground and kids pools. It was generally quiet at night and nice to walk around. Not enough fire pits though. We stayed in the pull through sites near the entrance to the Sideways Lounge and on the row closest to the maintence area. While it was tight is was way better than some of other pull through areas. The new part of the park was very nice but definitely HWY 101 noiseWe did have a great time out of the park and I can’t say enough about this area. So beautiful and the wine scene is great. Los Olivos was our favorite place, great restaurants and very “adult” vibe...too bad there wasn’t an RV park there for us “childless by choice curmudgeon’s” I might have never left if there was!

This resort is conveniently located just off Hwy 101 and met all our requirements. We selected a Deluxe Site (also the least expensive) and as these are furthest from the 101, you can't hear the traffic. Deluxe sites are pull-through, level, decomposed granite with about 6' grass buffers and the area has plenty of mature trees for shade. Restrooms were clean and of a high standard. Buellton is about 5 miles from Solvang, which is fun to visit. The resort is well maintained and, as noted by another reviewer, landscaping work (mowers and blowers) started around 9am, so if you are a late riser or enjoy a quiet breakfast this might be annoying. We did not use any of the amenities.

We had never even heard of this area but some friends recommended it to us and we are so glad they did! There are tons of wineries spread throughout the Santa Ynez Valley with breathtaking vineyard views. Solvang, a charming Danish village, is also nearby and a fun place to do more wine tasting, eat pastries, or just stroll the streets and enjoy the beautiful flowers and authentic Danish culture. The store is stocked with local wine and treats. The pool and hot tub are both excellent. On Friday nights they have a cookout with excellent food. There is a gas fire pit near the office, and people gather there and swap stories. It is one of the friendliest places we've been and has a real feeling of community. One night, a couple traveling musicians who were staying there did an impromptu concert around the fire. There is a nice playground for kids and a large bocce ball court. In addition to RV spots, there are luxury tents for "glamping", and there are little cabins, too.You are within walking distance of Buellton shopping and several good restaurants. We rode our bikes to Solvang (although the road narrows on the last hill into town!), so it's a nice way to explore the town. It is about 15 minutes from Gaviota Beach, and 45 minutes to the beach in Santa Barbara. It is a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. This is one of our favorite spots. Please don't make it so popular it is full when we want to go there.

The resort has recently been upgraded, which is obvious. It's clean and everything works. They have a staff which is visible all day, cleaning and making sure all is in order. The laundry is clean, and all the machines work. There is community space and a rec area for kids. Not one but two dog areas. We felt out of place, with our battle-scarred EarthRoamer, amidst Newmars and Airstreams. But everyone is super nice and friendly. We've been able to ride out a multi-day rainstorm, charge up the batteries, do laundry and empty the waste tanks. An added bonus is that there are a number of great restaurants a short walk away. It's worth noting this does NOT include Anderson's Split Pea, which has been in. Downward spiral for a decade.Pro tip: the Friday BBQ at Flying Flags is pretty damn good.

As a result of a recent affiliation with The Highway West Corporation, Flying Flags RV Resort has been expanded, upgraded, and basically improved. We camped in the new section (pull-thru, concrete pad, with full services). Included were two new restroom buildings with individual bathrooms (sink, toilet, and shower).Of course, there remains the original RV spots with lots of mature trees (the corner lots containing lots of bells and whistles!) and also the original long-term winter visitor sections. Much appreciated is the shaded and spacious dog-run and the convenience of across-the-street amenities of RV services: http://www.bobsrvrepairbuellton.com/ and the original Anderson's Pea Soup Restaurant, among others. We were impressed with the resort's emphasis on spaciousness and amenities. There are plans for a second (and very large) pool that will really make this destination RV resort POP!OK, one caveat . . . Hwy 101 freeway noise is the one detraction to the new section . . . thus if that's your concern, focus on the original sites.

If you don't like 2 breweries within walking distance, excellent restaurants nearby, and wine tasting.....go somewhere else. If you don't like hiking you shouldn't go up Figueroa Mountain Rd. to the Midland School Trails and by all means DON'T do the Lover's Loop Trail, you will be pissed. And don't ride your bike all over wine country and don't visit any of the 100 boutique winery's tasting rooms. You'll be drunk and pissed. But if you are like us and love all of the above, you're all set!

Loved this RV Resort has great amenities, clean bathrooms and 24 hr laundromat. A little noisy since they cater to families with lots of kids activities.

A very good RV park just off Hwy 101. Close to restaurants, wineries, and breweries. Lots of new cabins being installed in the resort which might alter the RV aspect of the place--stay tuned for how it turns out. 5 STAR rating of the new bathrooms next to the pool! Very nice dog run! Even has a CAT run!

  • Pricey and the feeling of being a bit crammed in, but well located for wine country.

Buellton has some nice spots to visit, we found a great brewery and restaurant within walking distance from the RV park. Most are pull through paved site. The sites are close together,as is common in RV parks. They have a pool and hot tub which we didn't use. There is a well stocked general store, including lots of local wines, and very friendly staff. Also a nice central patio area with firepit. They also have outdoor movie nights on summer weekends. We watched The Lego Movie! One of the cool things about this park is that they have a lot of vintage Airstreams available to rent. They will let you tour them if they are not occupied.
