Wide roads, easy pull in parking for overnight. Well maintained and price reasonable. Several large trees in park so it’s been there a while. Two small fenced dog yards and poop bags provided. Grounds clean, staff welcoming, neighbors quiet. Did not use showers or bathrooms. Road noise minimal considering it’s right off the 99.

Large, pull thru spots with full hook-up! They have two dog walk areas with grass and a beautiful, tranquil picnic area. Slight highway noise but nothing that disrupted our sleeping. Great place to park for one night and it was only $34!! Highly recommend.

Bear Mountain was easy to get to and would afford us a quick way to our funeral as well as a quick exit on our way further north. Staff at the front desk was friendly and checked us in quickly. All spots are pull-through, roadways are paved, sites are simple, no-frill crushed rock, spacious enough. No picnic tables or fire pits, but they have a nice picnic area in front of reception with bbq pits and picnic tables. The site was level and clean, hooking up was uncomplicated. It is far enough out of town to not have "neighborhood problems" or transient traffic. It appears to be gated, although we were not given after-hours instructions or a gate code, so I don't think they close the gate. As far as amenities, there is a laundry room with four washers and four dryers, only three washers worked and only two dryers. But it was cheaper than many other places we've camped. Did not go into the restroom or shower room. There are no other amenities, no pool or cable TV, but the local channels come in well enough. And the wifi works fine. There appears to be a cell tower in the field behind us.Several families with small children are camped here, the roadways are clear enough for youngsters to go bike riding. The two things most reviews complain about are traffic noise and odors. Yes, there is traffic noise, a steady hum of highway 99 all night. Didn't bother us. And there was a definite manure odor for a while yesterday afternoon. Again, didn't bother us. It's peaceful enough. FYI - if you are a cyclist, there is 36 miles worth of bicycle trail on the north side of town, about 25 minutes away! Would not have expected that lengthy a trail in Bakersfield! Expecting to enjoy it tomorrow.

$36, which is fair for what is essentially a parking lot with hookups. For traveling on highway 99, it's convenient and well run. Restrooms and showers are clean. It is what it is...not much more than a minimalist overnight stop.

On this trip we stopped here on our way home. Not a big fan of grinding along when part of that trip is real mountain driving. What is GREAT: Large sites, easy connections, low price. The connections actually include 2 sewer connections spaced pretty far apart.Things to consider: There really is no place to grab a bite, other than a "steak" place on the other side of the freeway (It actually had pretty good reviews - I just find it difficult to believe). I was hoping to run out in the toad and bring back some fast food breakfast before we headed out. Nothing in 6+ miles as far as I could tell. They are listed as "bakersfield", but they are pretty far away from any of that infrastructure. We didn't use any of the things like bathroom or laundry.

Site pretty level, plenty wide and very long. Since we aren’t really into the resort RV lifestyle, this park suited us just fine and price was right. They do ask that RV’s “be 10 years or newer and in excellent condition”. We aren’t big fans of the age limit but do appreciate the need to have a park that is appealing. Wi-fi signal is very weak and most of the time unable to connect. Park is not far off the freeway but road noise was not over powering. In fact, had to be pretty quiet in RV to hear it. Didn’t bother our sleep. However, we were about half way through the park away from the freeway. We would stay here again.

I arrived before check-in time, but the owner saw me, and came out to open the office and check me in. The overnight sites are along one aisle at the south side. You do not get to chose a site when making a reservation, so if you arrive early, you get a site close to the office and laundry, and furthest from US-99, which is over the fence at the back. The later you arrive, the closer to US-99 and further from the laundry you will be camping. The only complaint I had was about the gravel on the site. It was like cat litter, and stuck to everything when wet with the rain. Verizon 4G was OK, with 3 bars, 9 Mbps down and 3 up. The laundry was excellent, and only $1.50 to wash and $1.25 for 1 hour drying time.

It's located just a couple miles south of the Bakersfield city limit in an agricultural area, and thus felt pretty safe to us. The 50 Amp service worked great, the water pressure was average, and the sewer hook up is right by the pedestal. Easy to pull into and get out, and every space is a pull through. At $27.00 a night (we paid $150.00 per week), it's the cheapest you're gonna find in Bakersfield with full hookups. Not all sites have picnic tables, and there are no firepits here. Our picnic table was very old, and actually collapsed while my wife sat on it due to a weakened weld. While we didn't encounter any ants crawling into our RV, there are lots of flies, gnats, and mosquitoes about. The free Wi-Fi is weak and we couldn't get on to it. Verizon 4G came in at 2 bars for us (-105 to -109 db) but was still usable for Internet. At night, we opened our windows to give our air conditioner a rest, and we got the full smell of fertilizer from nearby farms. There's little shade available in this park, and Bakersfield gets 100+ degrees F in the summers. This park desperately needs taller trees and more of them to make it tolerable. Most folks at this park are monthlies, and many appear to be here permanently. There are, however, spaces for weeklies and overnighters. But the folks living this park swear by how great it is, mostly for the cheap rent, the quiet, and the security of being away from the population.Carlos, the park manager, accommodated us well, and does a good job of keeping other RVers spaced apart well. The groundskeeper does a great job of keeping the grass mowed, weeds pulled, and shrubs trimmed. OVERALL, for the low price, the full hookups, the quiet and security, it's a good deal for overnighters and long termers, but remember, you get what you pay for.

Nice paving for a fast bike ride round and round. We were afraid there might be a terrible smell in the park as we drove past a bunch of "dairy farms" with huge herds of cows and huge dung piles, but there either wasn't one close by, or the wind was very cooperative. This part of California is all about big mechanized farms, and can be unpleasant to the nose, but this campground had pretty purple-flowering trees and a nice breeze.
