Stayed here for 4 nights due to the location proximity to Burro Creek Canyon where we went rockhounding. The site is decent and the campers were quiet. There was a lot of road noise though because it is very close to the highway. We camped in our Tesla Model Y, and were able to charge our car overnight using the hook ups. There are a couple of bathrooms with showers in decent shape however the soft water made it feel impossible to wash off the soap suds. Overall it was a nice spot to stay.

Ideal if you are just cruising around AZ.Small campground.Pleasant lady at check in.Directed to site.It was over 100*F, so not many people around.Only negative is that it is close to the main road so there is traffic noise thru the night.

  • Good choice in an area with not a lot of options.

We did a quick overnight on our way south to Scottsdale. It's a tiny mom-and-pop place run by super nice folks. It's a tiny mom-and-pop place run by super nice folks. We were arriving on a Saturday and even though the office is closed that day, our voice mail request for a spot was met with a quick response. When we arrived, we were escorted to our spot, and told to just pay in the morning. The sites are quite close together with no tables but it's a cute little place with lots of common space to relax in -- a volleyball court, a fire pit and chairs, and lots of quirky metal art to enjoy. Definitely a good bit of road noise but not overwhelming. There are lots of permanent residents but didn't really didn't have the opportunity to interact with them during our short stay.Showers were spacious and clean. The stalls have coded door locks but can't be latched from the inside while you're in it. There's a magnetic "occupied" sign you can put out but that's really inadequate for feeling safe while showering. There are 4 old school agitator washing machines and 4 dryers, one of which was not heating so be sure to check on your loads so you don't waste time and money on a machine that isn't working properly. There is a decent waiting area with to hang out while you do laundry. We had breakfast in the cafe on site which was super convenient for getting back to our long haul.

  • Nice for an overnight.

To be fair this was our very first trip in our new RV. Being totally new at this, Hidden Valley was a good first stop. We were greeted on arrival and directed to our reserved sight. Very friendly staff, good food at the restaurant and a very laid back feel to the place. Even being located near a busy road was not a problem. It was fairly quiet. For the most part, the sights are gravel or dirt with some shade. Easy pull through spots are available with 50 amp full hook-ups. They have done some cool landscaping with walking bridges, fish ponds and fountains. It seemed like a good camp store with a fairly good selection of essential items. We did not take advantage of the showers or restrooms. We were busy getting used to the RV and did not have much time to explore. We enjoyed our stay.
