It is located north of Wickenburg on highway 89. There is pavement all the way until you arrive at the park. From there some are paved and some are not. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. Our site, 83, was a back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and sewer) were to the left side. Distancing is close for a rural park. There is no vegetation in the non permanent RV section. Each site has a table unless you are in the “Dry Camping” section then there is nothing. Our site was flat and level. Overall our area of the park was pretty bleak. There has been no attempt to beautify made at all. Be aware, if you are a dog owner Goat Heads (aka sand burrs) are everywhere. They hurt your dog’s paw pads, They will puncture soft soled shoes and they sting! We have demoted this park by two stars for the Burrs and one star for the non existing landscaping. We did not discover any park supplied Wifi but our Verizon worked well most of the time. We did find a few OTA TV. Satellite will not be difficult We did not use the washrooms or pay showers but we checked and found them clean. The usual planned activities are available. Propane is sold on site only during certain times. There are no restaurants or services within walking distance. The small bump in the road called Congress has a Shell station, a Dollar General and a couple of eateries. Wickenburg is about 20 minutes away for most of your needs. We found this park to be a reasonably well run rural RV park and better than the nearby competition.. We paid $ 169.06 being a weekly rate and we feel we received very good value. We will probably be back if in the area again in hope that the vegetation problems have been resolved.

The dump station is closed and has been since at least 2017. The boondocking area is a no generator zone as well as the rest of the campground. If you want propane you can only get it between the hours of 11:00 - 11:30 “if someone is available”Tuesday thru Saturday. The remainder of the campground is fairly flat, dirt sites that are rather small but adequate for a short stay to visit the area. The doggy park is a fair distance from the campground with no doggy stations anywhere on the property.

The spots are typically spaced for a commercial CG (not much privacy), vary some in length, but they can accommodate big rigs, and they don’t require much leveling. Site utilities are all the way in the back (FHU, 30amp only) and worked fine. Upon arrival, the helpful host changed our site after noting our 40’ length, and while we would have fit in our original site, getting into it would have been more challenging (sites are parallel with no angling). Verizon worked fine without the booster, and there was enough room to walk our dog, though I found a couple goatheads along the way.Our stay here was quiet and uneventful, but if you are tired of political signage a year after the election, this CG probably isn’t ideal and neither is the town of Congress for that matter. I’m glad we were just passing through. $28.18 is the current rate for a back-in FHU site without discounts

The Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park has been on my bucket list for ages so this was a great side trip on the way from Prescott to Tucson. North Ranch is only 20 minutes away. The weather was pretty good so I opted to dry camp. The dry camping area is literally nothing more than parking parallel to a small ditch in the SE corner of the RV parking lot. It was reasonably level and fine, though I could see some not caring for the "gravel parking lot" ambiance of the campground. The dump appeared to be closed but they had no issues with me filling with water and dumping at an empty hook-up site. The North Ranch community of homes, RVs, and park models are beautiful. Very well kept, friendly folks, quiet, and a great area to walk the dog. The gate to the public trust land is in the far SE corner of the community (there is a large parking lot) and goes deep into the desert for ATV travel, hiking, and biking. There was a craft show at one of the residences on Saturday which was fun to visit. At the NE corner of the RV lot is Saguaro Park, easily as nice as any professionally managed cactus garden I've seen. Don't miss it. I took advantage of the Escapees Smart Weigh program while there. The guys were very helpful and informative. providing all sorts of information about weight, balance, tire inflation, and safety. OTA broadcast signals tended to fade at times but there were many channels. T-Mobile while showing bars was all but non-existent. AT&T was better though it too faded at times (14 down/3 up). I tried WiFi for one day Tengo @ $3 and it was pretty basic, certainly not meant for heavy data use. OH, and they have a great recycling program, accepting just about everything including glass.

Weather was amazing 88 upon arrival and cools down nice in the evening, no AC needed. Great Verizon reception, great Dishnetwork reception and we used our hotspot for internet.Short drive into town for restocking groceries, Safeway is nice but a bit pricey.Clubhouse and all activities are suspended due to COVID-19. Laundry room and bathrooms are available with code access provided. There is a train track across the stree from the RV Park and you can faintly hear the trains during the day, however we never experienced any nighttime noise very quiet. We would gladly stay here again and even consider longer stays.

We gave it three stars because of two things: bad AT&T service and WiFI advertised was not available. We could not receive calls on AT&T due to it switching between 2 bars of 3G and 2 bars LTE. There was a 3rd party solution for WiFi (and was advertised), but it wasn’t available in site 99. The OTA TV channels were excellent with all the main TV channels available. Propane was available for $2.49/gallon plus taxes. We had full-hooks, but there was only 30amp electric available. They also have full recycling available (this is a bonus for us). They have a beautiful activity center and clubhouse. They also have clean and attractive bathroom/showers. We used the Escapees SmartWeigh service which weighs all four corners of your RV - very informative. This park is in a great location: Wickenburg (12 miles), Surprise (47 miles). Wickenburg had great groceries, hardware, auto, and restaurants. Lots of things to do in the area: hiking, ATV, Congress, Prescott, etc. It would be great if they added card bingo as an activity.

Gorgeous area around the park, with access to some great BLM trails for off-roading or hiking. There are two parts to the park. The area in the front is for temporary visitors and is a normal RV park. The area to the back is a community of RV sites that people own. It is a really interesting concept.

Updating my star rating to what it would be without this portion of our stay: 4 stars. We are now very excited to be returning to North Ranch this coming winter!*****************************************************************The campers and long-termers here are both great. The pickle ball court is great. The laundry rooms are nice. The community events are a lot of fun. The people in the main office are very intense, though, and have made it such that we won't stay here again. We've been here for two months. All was well for quite a while, but this last week, we've been approached and yelled at twice. Both times we were accused of illegal usage of the dumpsters even though we are staying in the campground and have every right to use the dumpsters. This second time we were also threatened to not have our site renewed (even though there are many empty here). So we're being threatened to be kicked out for using the dumpster. The managers are very angry and seem to not realize they approach people with a great deal of anger and yelling. I tried to respond and give constructive feedback this second time and encourage a conversation but I couldn't get a single sentence off and then the manager just drove off. He literally followed us around the park to come find us and accuse us of this illegal garbage dump use. It's creepy and way too aggressive and I no longer feel any comfort staying here -- the took the fun right out of this place. I'll never stay here again and I won't recommend that anyone else ever stay here.

The sites are on a large gravel lot in front of deeded sites for residents. Sites vary from narrow to about normal for a private RV park, that is to say not very large. There are picnic tables on each site. We were at the far side of the campground with empty sites across the way so we had a nice sunset view. This campground, like other Escapee facilities, offers lots of activities. The park has an indoor pickle ball court, a large clubhouse, a large activity center, a horseshoe pit, a dog run, and laundry facilities. They give you a list of activities when you check in which include exercise classes, crafts etc. We did not use the dog run but there is a path along the front of the campground also for doggies. There is also a lovely cactus garden at the north end of the park with an exceptionally large saguaro amongst other nice specimens. The town of Congress is about five minutes away. Grocery store, hardware stores and others are available in Wickenburg, about fifteen minutes away. There is lots of hiking in the area and the towns of Prescott, with some beautiful lakes and Williams, on route 66 and the starting point of the Grand Canyon railway are day trip distance.

The price (for Escapees members) was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. The sites and roads are all gravel (typical for a desert RV Park) but we found the sites to be closer together that we like. A little more space would have made a big difference. Our back-in site was along a row of trees which were very nice, but the branches prevented us from backing our rig up as far as we normally would, so we were sticking out into the road a little bit. We had no AT&T signal but Verizon LTE worked well enough. The park recycles paper, plastic, and cans which was a nice change from most parks we stay at in Arizona. There's a pretty nice fenced dog area (gravel) and a dirt path for walking dogs. We'd gladly do a short-term stay again, but the small sites, 30-amp hookups, and lack of AT&T service would make us think twice before a longer stay. Get your rig weighed at the Escapees SmartWeigh station while you're there. That's the main reason we came here.

Only the front 1/10 section or so of the park is open to drop-in RV camping, and this is a very basic area consisting of 2 big dirt lots with ~111 RV sites with 30amp/water/sewer (no 50 amp) arranged side-by-side in 3 long rows. Sites are dirt, long, flat and decently separated, but there's nothing to separate one side from the other (no privacy) and no real "site extras" except a picnic table. it's just a big 'ol parking lot. When empty there's lots of space to spread out, but when full I could see this feeling a tad cramped. That said, the park is quiet & welcoming, with lots of BLM land around to explore (allows ATV's, dirt biking, dog-walking etc.) and plenty of social activities for those interested. Plus it's a good location to explore the whole Congress/Wickenberg area. Also the price is right (only $20/night for SKP (Escapee) members. For non-SKP's it's higher). Not a fancy place, but a quiet, basic spot to explore the area.Good Verizon LTE signal, but only 3G on ATT. On-site Tengo (paid) but we didn't try it.
