There’s a large dog park on the property. And I assume access to trails for 4wheelers/side-by-sides since a lot of people have them. We would definitely stay here again!!

My kids LOVED that they had bikes for use around the park, which was a big plus. The worst part was that they parked us next to a guy who I believe works maintenance for the park itself. He seemed nice enough, but he was often working with loud power tools and swearing very loudly at the projects that he was frustrated with. We had to close the windows so that our kids didn’t hear too much of it. I think they need to be careful who they park next to him.Overall, the park is fine, but that 10/10/10 Good Sam rating is deceiving.
Starting to get run down. Some things need attention.

At night it is very quiet and it’s easy to sleep. Now I like some dogs but you people who let your dogs bark at everything need to realize how rud you are to us who enjoy quiet. Then when you leave to go shopping or go eat and don’t take your dogs need to realize that They bark and howl while you are gone and that is very disturbing to everybody else. It is simply not fair to the rest of us. This is a common thing I have noticed in almost every rv park I have stayed at. Is this a normal thing? We have been traveling and living full time in our coach for two years now and I have been attacked 3 times by loose dogs while riding my bike. This park has a dog problem and that actually is a people that own dogs problem. We’ll enough about that. Everything else about the park is fine.
Awesome stay with just a few things needing fixed

On average we were getting 20 down.ATT - Also all over the place. We stayed at Black Canyon Ranch for 2 months.Pros:The weather in the winter months was absolutely stellar. Some of the friendliest neighbors and camp hosts we have seen. People knew our name and knew our cat (who we take on walks) by name. The sites were huge and the whole campground has a ton of beautiful trees. The pool and hot tub were really nice looking (COVID, so we didnt use them). The area is gorgeous - beautiful mountains and cacti as far as the eye can see.Facilities were always very clean.Very quiet, with no highway noise. Most noise we would hear is people rolling in with their ATVs.Well sheltered from the wind.Breakfast restaurant right next door. You’re within reasonable driving distance to Phoenix, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon.Though the town of Black Canyon City is tiny, Anthem is within a 20 minute drive and they have every store you would need.Propane truck comes for fill up on Tuesdays and Thursdays ($4/gal at the time of writing).Cons:The bathrooms were in the same building as the office, which is closed at night. If you don't have a bathroom in your RV and you need to use the restroom at 1am, you’re out of luck. There were a lot of little things that were broken for the majority of our stay there. The gate to the wilderness path had a broken latch so you had to lift the gate to get out (and when you are walking pets, getting two hands to lift the gate can be hard), there was a broken shower in the bathroom and one of the showers didnt have hooks for the towels, and of the 4 washers available, one was broken when we arrived, one was broken in the first two weeks of us being there, and the third washer broke in the beginning of December. This meant there was only one washer available for a few weeks as nobody came out to fix them. Mail takes a day longer to arrive than you’d think due to the local post office.
Good place to stay for a night or longer

Some are in RVs or campers, blending in well with those who just camp here for a night or two. Others are in some version of tiny home. However, this is a very well maintained, clean, and neat campground with no sense of "trailer park." There is a lovely picnic area with horseshoes if you want a change of scene from your own picnic table, a small pool, a corn-hole court, a fire pit, and bikes to borrow. The clubhouse has all sorts of games, laundry, showers, and hosts many group activities. There is wifi available, but it isn't too robust. If you rent by the month, you can arrange to have your own wifi put in. Everyone who works here is very friendly and helpful, and they keep the property immaculate. You can drive right out of the park onto ATV trails if you bring an ATV along. We are living in our RV here while getting medical care at the Mayo Clinic, and we are not alone in being here longer term for medical reasons. The long term tiny homes are mainly along the edges of the park, and we were fortunate to get a spot beside one of them. It provides more privacy than available in the center spots. However, there are a lot of trees throughout the park (and, thus, fresh fruit available) which provide privacy to many of the sites. This is a quiet place in April and May, at least. Perhaps in the winter when it is full it is a bit more "hopping."

FHU with 50amp power. Getting in looked like it would be a little tricky since they are a bit tight of spaces, but we got it.The other reviews are accurate about the pool and hot tub area is nice (but a little small if there were a lot of people using it) and the clubhouse has a lot of things to do (pool, TV, books, etc). There are fruit trees all over the property and last night we actually got a see a rare Queen of the Night cactus that blooms only 1 night per year!We did not try the cable but we did find that over the air TV had no signals. Did not try the wifi this time, will next time. Cell reception service was good. Also agree that Black Canyon City does not have much to offer but Anthem is about 15-20 minutes away with adequate shopping and restaurants. This was a good place to stop while passing through Phoenix either way if you want to stay away from things a bit.Our rate was 1 night Passport America and they accept it for up to 3 days (days 2 and 3 there is a $5 electricity surcharge) so our next stay we will be here for 5 nights and average about $33 per night.

Resort is mostly full-timers but we had no problem getting a site for the week as a walk-up. Convenient to the interstate but no real highway noise. Sites level and easy to access but not particularly large but plenty of room to extend our slides and canopy. Full-timers very friendly and the park is kept clean. Nice pool and rec room with close-by W/D. Not much of a town but Anthem with Walmart and other stores just 15 mi down I-17. No air TV but free cable available (didn't have my hookup and didn't want to bother w/ TV). Good cell service and free wi-fi was good. Price was weekly Good Sam rate.

My desire was a swimming pool, playground and dog park. I got pool and dog park, later found a local park with playground. The atmosphere is relaxed and very quiet guests. Majority of people are long term, park models, they were friendly towards me. The sites are close together and I was close to the road, last night there there must have been a accident on I17 and traffic was extremely busy. Bonus there is ATV/UTV trails around and a "buggy wash". Also they allow mail to be sent.
Awesome place! I would definitely return!

We were told by the lady at Black Canyon that they would have room for us and since we were still several hours out, she would see us come in and would come greet us and check us in. She said a reservation was not necessary. Sure enough, around 8 o'clock at night we arrived. I pulled in, five minutes later she walked up, checked us into our spot and we had a very quiet restful night. The clubhouse, restrooms and facilities were clean and well stocked. It was a very good experience and we will stay here again on our way to northern Arizona.

More like a neighborhood, less like a parking lot. A very friendly mix of folks, clubhouse is super nice, and we feel safe here, as well.
