The campground kinda feels like Woodstock but aged. The buses are old school hippie style but kind of cute. The hot springs are pretty cool but not really that comfortable. The owner came by and adjusted our temperature by hollowing the rocks for colder or warmer. Fun but a one and done for us. Off the interstate by maybe 7 or so miles.

The road is easy to drive big rigs on, plenty of space and in good shape. Currently you need reservations and you call the ow we upon arriving. He let us park anywhere with a electric box. We are a 38ft Class A. The sites are built for smaller rigs but we made it work. Sites are not level. You are surrounded by old school buses, some remodeled for people to camp in! Enjoy the sounds of geese, ducks, and peacocks! There is a grassy area for the dogs (not fenced in, gotta keep them on a leash) 3 fire pits, looks like tent sites as well! Never checked out the bathroom facility. The rv sites include electric, water, and sewer! We enjoyed the views of old cabins across the street, white capped mountain peaks, and the peacocks! We did have cell and data service. You must have a reservation to soak. It is a short walk from the campsites to the soaking. There are 6 individual tubs and 2 large pools. Everyone is very quiet and nice. Mike is the owner and checks on everyone about once an hour. His story about the place really helped us appreciate the property. I’ll be honest it’s very rustic and homemade so when we first pulled in....I was...oh no. Ha but it does grow on you and forces you to slow down and relax! We usually do not pay $50 a night to camp especially parked on a unlevel dirt pad but this was more about the experience and adventure!
Cool vibes.......hot soaks!

Mystic is all about the hot spring pools and tubs however there is a sweet grassy park area to camp at which also has old hippie school busses converted to artfully crafted lodging. The hot spring water is tapped at 1500 ft below the surface and is then channeled out to 2 large pools and several tubs on the hillside. A great place to kick back, soak your bones and sink into bliss! Not to mention, the owner of the facility, Mystic Mike, was a gracious host and super knowledgeable about the springs, geology and the area in general. The price above is per person per night for an RV site with electric. Soaking is an additional fee. All well worth the price.

We laughed when the confirmation said "check your expectations at the door." Does this mean that it was going to suck? Staying here meant 1) Don't expect cabana service, 2) don't expect towels, 3) don't expect wait service, 4) don't expect food for purchase, 5) don't expect a bar. Staying here meant 1) Don't expect cabana service, 2) don't expect towels, 3) don't expect wait service, 4) don't expect food for purchase, 5) don't expect a bar. Really, don't expect anything and you'll have an amazing time. It's true. We pulled in (caution: stop on the road as soon as you see the "Mystic Hot Springs" sign, near the old Pioneer village remnants of old cabins. DON'T try to drive up into the office area because there's no room to turn around. I checked in and was told to pick whichever RV site we wanted. I liked that. Sites are full hookup and you're surrounded by tent campers and renovated buses that are really neat. There are bathrooms, a dish washing station, and outdoor showers available. There's a large park area next to the RV sites with big shady trees so you can lay around and relax. We visited in July and there were zero mosquitoes (they usually eat me alive anywhere I go). You get a wristband and our rate included 2 adults admission to the hot springs which are open 24 hours. There was a free concert that night that we were unaware of, and it was an incredible bluegrass band, so we ended up soaking in tubs watching a concert under the bright night sky... it was our last night on a big camping trip and I couldn't think of a better way to end it. There is a little market in town if you need anything, but try to take everything you'll need with you as I'm sure the market has limited hours. Monroe is a super tiny town but larger towns are ~30 mins away. This was a VERY cool experience worth seeking out. Checkin was 3PM, checkout was 1PM! The RV sites looked like a parking area for old school buses. There is a lot of artistic clutter around too. When we checked in, We met Mike the owner. He was great. We had to sign a disclaimer with the hot spring rules etc. Mike told us to pick any site that worked for our 40 foot RV. Some are 30 amp, however there are a few with 50 amp. A tent camper came over and helped us out. There is a slope but we were able to set and level in a site in the middle of the row. The water pressure was good, the electric and sewer worked as expected. No wifi or cable TV, we were able to get over 20 OTA TV channels. The rest rooms were dated but clean. The hot springs were great. Two large pools and several single tubs higher on the hill. We soaked and watched shooting stars one evening. The school buses can be rented for overnight stays and are in various levels of upgrades. There are a few cabins near the office too. The general appreance is unkept. Not sure what the history of the location is but the hot springs are the draw. Every employee we met was friendly and gave us good information on the area.
It's a 5 for me. I'm a real hippie.

We were lucky enough to see a double rainbow while we were here the second time. If you like geese there's a surprise for you. AT&T and Verizon were solid. I didn't check the T-Mobile. I'll update if we do. But who wants to work here? That's not what it's for. Chill out and soak while looking at the sunset over Utah's mountains.
